Can anybody with supported documentation define what and when the kid can do IF…..

We DON’t sign a release.

We DO sign a release.

My wild guess is if we do HE can sign with school of choice NSD, not before and if we don’t HE can portal out first window after he enrolls here. Can’t get out till you get in.

SHE can’t sign up for anywhere else in the meantime.

If even close, it means there is no value to urgency and waiting to see the results of the family dynamics is a reasonable path.

ANYBODY got hard facts.
Obviously, he can do anything if we sign the release. If we don't, he can just enter the portal on January 2nd. He will be able to play next year with no consequences.

EDIT: This appears to be incorrect, but I will leave the original comment up because everyone is wrong now and then.

Such a shame that such a vital and often times exciting part of the game has effectively been destroyed. I can remember being on the edge of my seat when teams were punting to Majors. Now, it's just an opportunity for a bad snap or shanked punt. As for kickoffs...why bother. Just set the ball at the 25 for every possession after a score. Spare us the kick and sprint. Hate what they've done to this game.... absolutely hate it.
Extra commercials.

Seriously, there are certain protocols in place due to CTE. But, it is far from anything close to hwat we used to watch. Like I said there are better sports to watch.

There is no issue. He can enroll and then transfer. It has happened already in college football. The QB at Cal enrolled at Oregon last year and then transferred. He played his freshman year.

I think you are forgetting that the transfer portal is only open Jan. 2-16. UT doesn't start classes until after that. There isn't another portal in the Spring like last year.

I hope AD White is calling the NCAA every day. Yelling about Ohio State tampering. If they are allowed to get away with it with ZERO consequences, then Tennessee and every other SEC school, should mass tamper with Big 10 schools. Force the Big 10 commish to do something.

I hope the SEC commish is working hard for us too.

I did not forget, but that is a good point. Either way, he will be able to play where he wants next year with zero consequences. If he wants to go there it sounds like we will release him anyway.

I am completely confused. So Bey reached out to US on signing day to flip back to us but he is upset because his mom made him….oh never mind. I have no clue what’s going on
you realize he never actually said any of that right?

there was a fake tweet, that most people took as 100% the truth.

as I keep saying, maybe he wants out, but there was never a smoking gun.

the tampering won't be done by anyone with an osu.edu email address. it will all be thru various sport agents, mentors, coaches, and family.

at least if they have 2 brain cells.

We were tampering with Carnell Tate last year while OSU was literally playing for a NC

According to AP he will not be able to hit the portal in January nor will any of our signees. According to the rules you have to attend class to be eligible for the portal, classes at UT start after the portal closes. So either UT releases him or he’ll be here for a year.

Going to say it now. This kids production will be near zero and will be at multiple schools before his career is over. I’ve said it a thousand times, early does drama in recruiting translate to a successful career.
Just because Nico and Boo ended bad doesn’t mean that every drama kid/recruitment cannot be mended. Let it ride and hopefully it works out for the kid. GBO!

Tennessee will release him if he truly wants out. It won't come to the portal. I don't think he will be able to sign but he can simply enroll.

If he wanted to go to OSU then why does his mom have a problem with that? They are playing for the natty every year and putting a ton of guys in the league so what gives?

I have heard a couple of the talking heads say that it was because the Vols offered more money.
If true, I'm guessing it was considerably more.

Are you a parent? If so, you understand the dynamics between Parents and Children. In most cases, parents want what's best for their children, and sometimes/most times kids push back.

Not sure that's a thing anymore. Used to be when you had to buy the parents under the table. Now the money is the money and it's either way off and obvious or close enough. I think it has to do with being able to make the trip to watch him more often.
