'26 TX ATH Legend Bey

It was posted on the Rivals page on YouTube

Does Rivals there quote anyone with direct knowledge?

Correct me If I’m wrong, but isn’t this whole thing anonymous sources, an unverified social media post, endless repetition, and breathless innuendo all the way down?

I’d be willing to bet OSU is the real villain in all of this.

Hartline (primary recruiter) is announced to USF the morning of their signing. Multiple recruits had no idea, felt misled, and opened up their recruitment on that day because of it.

Family already wanted Tennessee anyways. Knows Osu are snakes. This might have been a sore point between them, but Legend has no problem with Tennessee. So instead of having to be rerecruited by everyone he makes his family happy and calls Tennessee and asks if he can get back in. It’s not just about who’s won the most games recently like his OSU flip article suggested. Relationships still matter. And on the day to put pen to paper his relationships with Tennessee came out cleanest and strongest.

OSU, mad that their plan to have hartline leave after these kids had all inked with them, calls and puts on the full pressure, denies knowing hartline was leaving, probably offers him more money, convinces Legend to go back on his signature, and launches a fake tweet smear campaign against his family that the media picks up like a dollar on the ground. And here we are. The question is does legend bey continue this effort at the expense of his family or does he cast it all aside and stick with Tennessee…

My thought is someone will have to break the silence. But then I think actually the best way to save face for all involved is to just not talk about it. Don’t throw your family under bus. Don’t flip back to Osu. Play the first year at Tennessee and let the story die. If the story doesn’t die it will be OSU showing their real colors. If you still want to go to Osu, transfer there in year 2.

AA kick/punt returner slot or running back.
I thought kick/punt returner, too, but then I remember that the sport has effectively killed special teams. I'd love to see him in the slot or at RB tho. Think I read OSU was recruiting him as a RB so if he's good enough for them to see him there, it works for me. I trust their evals way more than ours.

AP said Bey was the one that reached out to UT staff on NSD about flipping back. Then signed everything himself and called AP to do his flip/commit interview.

Everything since has surprised everyone on our side (staff, media).

All the other stuff out there has been rumor run wild or outright fan fiction.

We'll probably end up cutting him loose if he really feels the way he's made it sound in his posts
Let him go, we’ll fill his spot with someone who wants to be here.

This whole thing is probably BS. Internet FOG of Recruiting. Time will tell.

Think about it, as it has been stated several times that Tennessee offered him out of LOI.
To our knowledge, he is still a VOL.
Second, Bey getting a bad wrap and probably due to OSU fodder.
Third, He can't talk to any other schools because of LOI and Tennessee has offered to let him go. Fourth, Henry signing with OSU may keep him away from OSU and Tennessee.
Fifth, does OSU still want him with Henry signed and will he have to wait his turn.
Sixth, if you are buying a forged signature as a problem, then, forget it. It is a legal matter and don't think he will go the distance and sue his mom after telling everyone that he did not want to disrespect his mom.
Seventh, Hartline's departure and timing.

I have always wondered why Bey was not going to TX or TX A&M.

Is there any reason to void the LOI, with the signing window ending on the 5th?

Why not sit back, shut up and let the Jan portal fix what needs fixing.

Is there another remedy?

Apparently, the new rules won’t allow him to portal in January. He is bound for a year.
Huh, guess since it was said on the internet I thought it was true. Wondered how you could transfer before you were enrolled.

Did this happen last year?

If we voided the PAPERWORK could he sign elsewhere before the next window or just commit?

Thanks for jumping in.

If he's released I'm guessing he could just show up at the school of his choice and enroll.
