Two Deep Depth Chart Released

LOL. Statements like this are gonna look so stupid in a few weeks. Our roster is more talented than every championship roster going back to the 2001 Hurricanes.

Just wait and see. We have almost too much talent. Especially on defense. If we're not top 5-10 nationally on defense this year I'll be shocked (and yes that assumes Colton Jumper being our starting MLB).
I'm not sure this roster is more talented than every UT roster going back to 2001, let alone each championship roster.

This is just another one of your dumb predictions that you'll sidestep a few months/years down the line by pointing the finger first at Butch (for not coaching well enough), then NFL scouts and GMs (for not having your autism oops I mean talent), and then finally NFL coaches for not getting the most out of players you anointed mainly after watching Hudl videos.

Bituli really has speed and size evidently he doesn't have the mental game down yet. I was more than surprised that Bates is the backup to Jumper. We need some MLB's in the upcoming class that can play immediately.

LOL yeah I'm sure it's way more talented than when we had players like Justin Harril, Turk McBride, Jerod Mayo, Lamarcus Coker, Eric Berry, Robert Meachem, Jason Swain, Aaron Sears, Jonatahan Heffney, Arian Foster, Luke Stocker, etc.

This coming from a guy that says coaches cant be trusted to play the best player.

Lmao man u crazy..this roster won't come close to the 2001 and 2002 canes roster..man u realize how many future hall of famers that was on that cane roster back then?

Hoping Nigel Warrior has a breakout season and becomes the second coming of Eric Berry.

Tuttle in the two deep, so is he back? Or is a redshirt still an option?

Butch said yesterday that Shy is making the trip to Atlanta and dressing. Said he's made remarkable progress. Didn't say whether or not he'd actually play on Monday, but it sure sounded like Tuttle is back and a redshirt isn't even being considered.

Then why are we messing around?

Fire him already and move on to someone who can.

I believe the administration is more concerned about making $$$ rather than competing for/winning championships. As long as 7-9 wins is making $$$ then the school is content.

It's WAAAY bigger than just a coach problem. Maybe Currie is new blood that will change that but I think that's the foundational issue at hand.

This has already been said by proven insiders on this board. Yet some people choose to stick their head in the sand and continue to make stupid predictions.

Probably only because he hasnt practiced much. Could make a huge jump in the depth chart as the season goes.

I doubt that he starts unless there are injuries at his position. I have never understood why so many people think he is better the guys we already have. He is not very big and seems to gamble a lot.

With Drew Richmond out, could we line up an extra offensive linemen at Tight end to help with the running game.

For Defense, could we put TKJ at a linebacker role and still play Warrior and Abernathy at Safety. I dont know if Austin smith is any better at stopping the run than TKJ

I would not compromise the flexibility of the offense by taking a receiver out of the lineup. Out TEs can block or they would not be playing.

Well its gonna look genius in about 4 months when we're holding up the national championship trophy. I really like the talent on this team. You're talking about a lot of future NFL starters.

I believe the following players will start in the NFL:

QB Quinten Dormady
QB Jarrett Guarantano
RB John Kelly
WR Josh Palmer
WR Latrell Williams
TE Ethan Wolf
OL Marcus Tatum
OL Trey Smith

DE Jonathan Kongbo
DE Darrell Taylor
DE Kyle Phillips
DT Kendal Vickers
DT Kahlil McKenzie
DT Shy Tuttle
LB Darrin Kirkland Jr.
LB Daniel Bituli
LB Austin Smith
CB Justin Martin
CB/S Rashaan Gaulden
S Nigel Warrior
S Micah Abernathy

KR Evan Berry
P Trevor Daniel

Not too many teams have 21 future NFL starters on their team. And this doesn't include Evan Berry and Trevor Daniel that are surefire starters on special teams.

Ton of NFL talent on this team. You almost have to try to lose as coach with roster.

lol

That would mean that this team is almost as talented as that 2001 Miami Hurricanes team, which is thought of by many as the greatest college football team in history.

I said before fall camp he would make a name for himself by this point. The kid is special. He might be our best receiver this season along with Latrell Williams.

Also understated that Latrell Williams is listed first at spot receiver ahead of Tyler Byrd. That's big news. I've been high on him since he signed with us last year.

I love that as well. Now I need the coaches to do the right thing and start Abernathy ahead of TKjr. Enough with rewarding seniority. We gotta play our best athletes and right now that's Abernathy and Warrior at safety.

Wait... What? . You just posted that they're not rewarding seniority. (In the immediately preceding post!)

How about relax a bit and consider that the staff, who watch them every day during closed practices, may know just a little more than your hit and miss, 3 minute clip review, NFL scouting.

[I say] Palmer has the highest NFL ceiling of any receiver we have. [I say] He's the only guy we have that has pro-bowl WR potential in the NFL. I compared him to former Ohio State great and pro-bowl NFL WR David Boston. Palmer has that sort of physical ability.

Our 2 most talented receivers in terms of NFL potential are Josh Palmer and Latrell Williams.

Josh Palmer = David Boston
Latrell Williams = TY Hilton

You're like the guy that references his thesis in his thesis.

If that's the case then you should join me in calling for a new head coach.

8 wins with the sort of talent Tennessee has right now and has the potentially of recruiting in the future given how much instate talent is improving is UNACCEPTABLE. Period.

I think it would depend on how we lost and who those losses were to. Less than 8-4, strong chance I'm looking for a new coach (injuries like last year not withstanding). A lot more unknowns about this team than last year. I don't think you can simply fire Butch at 8-4 and a possible bowl win at 9-4. Lots of variables. But yes, he NEEDS to be hitting 9/10 wins in the regular season soon.

Scanning through this nonsense and reading how "all world" our players are, that have never played and how much better they are then kids that have actually played, being compared to the 2001 'Canes and all, im pretty sure i read the most dumb post ive ever read when a full on tard posted that "we have almost TOO MUCH TALENT on Defense." Is that even possible and what team is "we" because this UT Def hasnt played a snap yet but the guys from it that have played havent shown me much at all yet. Too much talent? WTF is that?
