TrumpPutingate III: the beginning of the end

You think the left would hint at a criminal conspiracy by their own?

Why? There is obviously room to improve. Reviews and investigations help illustrate problems and nobody is against doing them for any agency. I have not seen anything to suggest a crime. I think this report will be like the Nunes memo, A Nothing Burger.

I don't think anyone minds if there is a review of the FISA court and warrant application process.

But the effort by the Trump nuthuggers to make it look like the entire national security apparatus and the FBI and DOJ all conspired out of politics (most of them Republicans) to manufacture a justification to go after Trump is just ludicrous. And that is if for no other reason than that we know for a fact there was the June meeting to try to get dirt on her and Trump's own actions then and later demonstrate a reasonable grounds to suggest a problem and potential compromise of Trump that is at a minimum certainly worthy of investigation.

Denial ain't just a river in Egypt

Crack all the jokes you want but he’s doing a pretty admirable job at the moment with all the attacks on the different fronts. He shouldn’t do a special prosecutor at this time. The OIG needs a look under the hood and then see where it goes.

But boy I’ll bet he’d like a mulligan on the Rosenstein choice....

And that is why they didn't appoint a special investigator. It is policy that needs review and possible changes not widespread corruption and crime. Glad you see it my way.

They did appoint a special “investigator”, lady. That’s what the OIG does, investigate. They did not appoint a Special Counsel/Prosecutor.

They didn't need one and they didn't appoint one. What is your problem besides 5 year old mentality and wit?

Your dumb ass doesn’t even know the difference between an OIG investigation and a special prosecutor. So apparently you’re dumber than a witty 5 year old.

When name calling doesn't work resort to unfounded accusations. That's Trump playbook. Your degree from Trump U is in the mail.

So this is an interesting point worth bringing up. Huber wields the full power of a US attorney (he is one). Just like a special prosecutor. And he’s apparently been working on this since November? I didn’t realize that until reading thru the article again. From CNN

Sessions' decision to stop short of formally appointing a special counsel like Robert Mueller, detailed in a lengthy written response to three Republican chairmen on Capitol Hill, will likely anger those in the GOP who have recently ramped up calls to investigate claims of political bias at the nation's top law enforcement agencies.

However, Huber, who currently serves as the US attorney in Utah, wields significant power as a federal prosecutor with the ability to bring charges and convene a grand jury, if necessary.

Sessions also said he will rely on Huber's review to determine if a special counsel is needed down the line.

Huber has a LOT more teeth than an OIG type investigation who cannot compel cooperation. The Fox News article on the same subject did say the OIG and Huber were consulting each other though.

I love how LG and Mick continue preaching the talking points to us on Collusion and Russia when we’re in conversations not even on Russia and Collusion and how they MUST have a special prosecutor without having any evidencary proof yet we don’t have any evidencary proof so we don’t need a special prosecutor. However we’re the agenda driven “nut huggers”. 😂😂😂

Its getting sad at this point. They know their dreams have completely evaporated and need something to grasp onto to save face.

What makes you sad?

Watching those who call themselves adults act like toddlers ever since Trump was elected. I fully understand hating Trump. But the way people have acted since he was elected is just sad. I hated Obama, Clinton and Bush. But I didnt act anything like these pathetic liberals are now.

Developments today warrant a clean break and the third installment. I've labeled it the beginning of the end because I believe that we are seeing now the collision of the facts and the personalities which will culminate in charges against Donald Trump and others. Money laundering, bribery, obstruction, conspiracy. Or some combination thereof.

So, today ...

It has emerged that as Bannon testified to the House committee, his lawyer would go outside and call the WH and tell them what was asked. He then went back in to tell Bannon not to answer.

A couple of days ago, Lewandowski said that he would answer all questions. When he got there, however, he would not answer anything post-campaign.

When asked if he had spoken to Trump in the prior 24 hours? He refused to answer.

As I say, this is the beginning of the end of this saga. its almost over.

So, 72 days ago was the beginning of the end?

Do you ever question the news reported by mainstream outlets?

Rhetorical.

Did anyone ever truly believe Trump would be treated as a normal president? His whole shtick was being so abnormal. Had he changed (even a little) upon taking office, and been even the slightest bit presidential, people would have grown more accepting. He chose the opposite course of action and continues to this day. The reactions of the public are just that.....reactions to his actions. If you want to change the reactions, change the actions.....Trump seems unwilling or unable to do that. The Trump supporters should speak out more loudly to encourage him to be more presidential and to stop giving his detractors so much ammunition.
