TrumpPutingate III: the beginning of the end

And, LG, I hope you noticed I didn't even mention the Trump investigation. Rather I was meaning the Agency as a whole.

I’ll give you some ammo then. I don’t care who appointed who at this point. I don’t care if it’s career officials back to Bush 43. ( Holder was actually an acting AG for 43 btw).

Any career professional in the NSA, CIA, DOJ, or FBI should welcome a top down review. Because right now they’re all a damn cesspool from what I see!!

But instead you just cop out? What a wuss. At least Luther nuts up and takes the abuse for his stance instead of your chicken **** cop out.

We should outsource those jobs and the investigation into those agencies to contractors. I hear the British are good.

So Mick I’m calling them all onto the carpet. Regardless of administration we have over a decade of crap. Fast and the Furious, WMD investigation, total missed opportunities on multiple mass shooting murders.

My most sincere hope is the OIG is still in tact. And before you go making snarky admin comments there go look at the current staffers and when they were appointed.

You're welcome to answer the questions LG refuses to.

Detailed answers obviously.

Mired in troubles? Where would you come up with such ideas? Did you hear that on Fox or a Trump Tweet? The "troubles" are manufactured by Nunes. If you have accepted that as a nothing burger then you are relying on the secret society deep state conspiracy. I don't see the FBI mired in troubles as you do.

Answer this: What is the trouble, crime in the FBI and evidence to back up any accusations?

Answer one question truthfully, non-partisan and objectively please.

With everything that's come out of the FBI as of late, would you not consider it an agency mired in troubles?

Two questions if you dare...

Do you believe the FBI is in need of a serious top down review and a bunch of career bureaucrats needing to be kicked to the curb?

Hope you’re doing good GV and I’ll give this a shot.

I think every government agency is shady af, they’re all lining the pockets of politicians, CEOs, heads of agencies etc. I wouldn’t put it past any and all agencies to falsify eveidence to make sure they’re butts stay out of jail.

Do I think they need to be kicked to the curb??? Sure but it’s not gonna change anything, the next person will eventually get bought out. Nothing changes in DC, no matter who is in charge. Republicans hate Dems and Dems hate republicans but each and every damn one are in this for the same reason.....MONEY!!!!!! The entire beltway is for sale and large corporations will always pay to get what they want

Jeff Sessions rejects a second Special Council to investigate the FBI.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions revealed Thursday that Utah's top federal prosecutor, John Huber, is investigating a cluster of Republican-driven accusations against the FBI and has decided that no second special counsel is needed -- at least for now.

Huber has been looking into allegations that the FBI abused its powers in surveilling a former Trump campaign adviser, and more should have been done to investigate Hillary Clinton's ties to a Russian nuclear energy agency, but his identity had remained a secret.
But Sessions' decision to stop short of formally appointing a special counsel like Robert Mueller, detailed in a lengthy written response to three Republican chairmen on Capitol Hill, will likely anger those in the GOP who have recently ramped up calls to investigate claims of political bias at the nation's top law enforcement agencies.
Sessions said he will rely on Huber's review to determine if a special counsel is needed.
"We understand that the Department is not above criticism and it can never be that the Department conceals errors when they occur," he wrote.
"I am confident that Mr. Huber's review will include a full, complete and objective evaluation of these matters in a manner that is consistent with the law and facts," Sessions wrote.

I’ve met quite a few over the years and by and large the mid level career people are fairly solid of character and integrity from my observations. The high level appointees (never met one) have incredible pressures to balance duty and personal polictical views. But that’s the job they took so I expect them to do it and be held accountable on it.

You creamed your pants yesterday calling for one you freak.

You’re an idiot. I said it might lead to one, lady. I explicitly stated the OIG needs to do their work and if they find evidencary proof one of the outcomes could indeed be another special prosecutor.

And in response to the edit link above go back and keep reading.

Dear Lord your triggered response is total idiocy, lady.

Ok so yes you’re being dense. Got it.

The OIG is not a prosecutor. They have no authority to do so. They are acting on a recommendation to AG Sessions from Congress which AG Sessions concurred with and sent to the for further investigation.

Again, for the third time, this is how you go about evidencary discovery. If any evidence of misconduct is found it will be reviewed and a follow on path will be chosen. One possible path is the assignment of a Special Prosecutor to further investigate and possibly indict based on their investigation results

I realize you don’t like this. I also don’t GAF. This is the path that should have been followed in the Muller appointment and was the recommended path by Dershowitz. You know? The highly respected liberal Democrat Harvard attorney in a recent op ed?

You’re either being dumb or just deflecting. I don’t realky GAF which but I’m not explaining anymore

TLDR: we don’t have to have evidence for an OIG review. But if we find it then we can constitutionally appoint a special prosecutor to pursue it.

Post the whole story, lady.

You keep going back to Trump and Fox.

Don't have an objective and non-partisan answer?

Okay, I think we're on the right track with the thinking here. I just feel (perhaps it's just been reported more as of late) the FBI is under serious pressure. The missed signals in the Las Vegas case, the passing of the signal from Stoneman, questionable FISA warrants, the fact the father of the Pulse Nightclub shooter was an FBI informant, hints about the OIG report being all sorts of crazy, McCabe's issues, etc.

I'll toss in Strzok and Page as obvious partisans in what should be a non-political investigation. Don't care if it's Trump or not, FBI Agents should hold themselves to a higher standard and not talk out of school like those two did. Regardless if they acted in an impartial manner or not, a good lawyer can (and will) blow any testimony out of the water so long as they plant any doubt in a judge or jury's mind. Don't let LG fool you either, he knows it. Probably has done it a time or two. Those two are impeachable on the witness stand.

Anyway...To me, it seems like there is a lot of rotting garbage at the FBI at the moment.

It is only partisan because you think differently. It was a detailed answer and now you can answer my question if you don't mind.

I think you're chicken.

See the above post.

Would you like to link some CNN articles detailing what I mentioned above?

Oh c’mon! You’re letting her off easy! All she pointed to was Trump, Twitter, Fox News, and Nunes. And that’s not partisan?!

C’mon you got the softball right down the middle with McCabe getting kicked to the curb by the OIG providing information to OPR for review and resulting in recommendation to terminate!! And that was reported as such across all the outlets! Of course on Clinton News Network it just had to be totally political though...😂😂😂

Those where good example of hints of policy change but nothing criminal in nature. All of the hints of criminal misconduct have come from the right.

You think the left would hint at a criminal conspiracy by their own?
