Trump to allow local police to have military gear

This issue has always confused me a bit. While I suppose it is at least theoretically possible that law enforcement could, in the most extreme circumstances (and I mean EXTREMELY RARELY), need high capacity magazines, what is the need for a private citizen to have access to a magazine that holds more than say, 15 rounds?

what is the need of the average private citizen of having a car that can go 150mph when the highest posted speed is 85mph? my little Nissan sedan can hit 120 without too much issue, at least so I have been told.....

simply because putting an arbitrary limit on it is just that. For the founding fathers 15 would have seemed crazy high. right now it may sound exactly correct, 10 years down the road it may be extremely low.

unless there is some documentation stating that 15, or whatever number, is better than any other you are going to have a hard time pushing that number around. Unless you haven't noticed the guys with guns tend to know their ish about guns so you better come with a similar base of knowledge.

Midway has had pretty consistent one day sales of IMI 15% off. That would put the 1200 round case at .28.

The also have AE $150/500 with a $25 rebate.

If we're going to issue advanced infantry weapons to local PDs the officers are going to have to spend less time at Krispy Kreme and more time on training fields.

That's a joke, I have utmost respect for police officers. But seriously they're going to need intensive training and it won't be cheap. Their safety as well as the publics safety will be on the line.

Excellent post and I agree 100%.

And why do you need to post on several social media sites in one day? Shouldn't 1 social media site be enough for you? Why should you have access to high speed internet? Isn't medium speed internet good enough? 15mbps is all you need why do you need 100mbps?

Your two scenarios:

One Law Enforcement

Because anyone can can duct tape the "15 round" magazines together in jungle clip fashion so that loading a fresh clip takes only as long as ducking your head.

search: how to duct tape AR-15 magazines together

or

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jungle_style_(firearm_magazines)

Violent criminals (they'll use 30 round clips doubled up for 60) can have a double clip inserted for 30 rounds and easily carry 4 more assemblies (120 rounds) for 150 total. I saw grunts tape them to their legs in Nam. Do that for say .. 3 bad guys...thats 450 rounds. 900 rounds if using 30 round clips.

Let's say two patrolmen respond with your measly little setup. You know, 'cause "more bullets are bad".
One 15 round mag in the weapon and another (oooh ooh..let's give 'em plenty) two (2) extra mags. So, 45 rounds each for 90 total.

Against 450 or even 900 rounds. (yes extreme scenario- but so very, very easily accomplished).

Scenario Two.

No law abiding citizen should be hamstrung by gun laws when facing a criminal(s) who can bring hell into your house by home invasion.
