'26 Transfer QB options

The QB front is completely quiet for us almost too quiet. Strange…
It was after spring too and we took Joey Aquilar. The staff doesn't really have the benefit of the doubt but they also don't have enough to be damned by it either as it did appear we were in talks with other QBs, just none of them pulled the trigger. Understandably so imo.

I'd also like to point out that every single one of those QBs hit the portal anyways. Makes their reason for staying a bit disingenuous.

I think it’s a given Ty Simpson has spoken to Tennessee. There is too much smoke with Andy Staples saying that it’s his dream to play in Neyland.
Where does he say that-not questioning you but I like to listen to Andy so I'd like to give it a listen!

Ngl, I was mad as hell when he committed to Bama, but if he wants to come home, I’ll gladly forgive him. He seems like a good dude and is a cerebral qb.

Where do we go if Joey’s case runs past this week or gets denied? We cant put all our cards into the one basket, borderline coaching malpractice
Even this front is super quiet

It's felt like it's been assumed he just won't get awarded another year. Has something actually changed on that front?

He was talking about Simpson and answered fan mail. It was earlier this morning or last night. Tbh, I think Ty could win the heisman in the system. Lots of traits that hooker had.

Yea I just don’t believe DeBoer is gonna make his QB decision based on fans
I don’t think he does either, but it’s the exact same scenario Texas dealt with last year with them pretty much telling Quinn Ewers that Arch was going to be their QB in 2025 and he should declare for the draft.
