Total War: Warhammer

I was in a MP match versus Bretonnia and, aside from it being a joke slaughter, the cherry on the cake was watching Archaon killing Fey Enchantress in less than 10 seconds.

The RoR's for Chaos are sickkkkkk. Khorne Berserkers.

they are no joke. and yeah the Fey should not be in combat in general. yet alone with Archaon.

I only play with SFO so I'll get back into the game now that the latest update is out

Playing the game without mods almost feels like a travesty

Lots of talk about what the next DLC will be later this year. Tilea/Dogs of War is gaining traction.

that would be awesome.

Tired of Empire lite.

everything I have seen has said no dlc/flc in July. but maybe something in August.

Tried out Steel Faith, holy crap that raises the prices on everything. units that were 680 were 1610. definitely didn't earn enough to offset that. and then with the increased garrisons early game was way too slow.

What faction were you?

It definitely slows down both the campaign and battle speed. It needs an options menu.

Tried Dark Elves, Chaos, and Lizards.

Didn't like it because of how much it slowed down my army production while the computer keeps their same rate. Turn 5 Kislev had 3 full armies and 3 other incomplete armies.

Dude. Lol.

Chaos: play as Kholek. You win.

Delves: Malekith and Reapers in 10-60. Enjoy him hsving 500+ kills vs Septik and Delf subfactions.

Zard: Maz will split a new ******* in the universe with his spells. Move north.

you think turn 5 Kholek is going to beat 3 full Kislev armies and a walled town?

or 1.5 Dwarfs behind a wall?

I had blitzed the norscan tribe and moved south. but by that time it was too late. turned back north to finish off norscans and the dwarfs were built up.

Malekith I couldn't afford to build a full army. not upkeep just cost of units. again death by attrition.

didn't get too far as Mazdimundi since I had recently started another campaign with him. but doubt it would go too well either.

Currently on turn 40 with Malekith and an early alliance with Rictus and Har Ganeth allowed me to deal with Mung and Septik as well as juggling pacts with beast tribes. It's slow but steady.

Kholek I'm on turn 120. I just subjugated Norscans and moved west to Rictus. Dwarves are dominating so that will be a problem at some point but my one army is so unbelievably stacked (for open field) that I've routinely beaten forces 5x my size with zero regimemt losses. I did manage to pick at Kislev enough for Moulder and my subjugated homies to get in there amd nip them in the bud thanks to coordinated strikes.

Maz I just used shrewd diplomacy and took it super slow. Longest campaign but a win is a win.

I mean Jesus my level 40 Kholek has base 19k HP, 900 WS, 170 armor, and 80 speed. When all his stuff procs he can literally solo armies. Throw that in with 6+ chosen, the SFO chaos units, dragon ogres, and two manticore sorcerors with Purple Sun. It's a thing of beauty that the AI is incapable of countering.

been doing a coop campaign. Me as Chaos and my friend as the Vamps. All chosen army plus whatever gribblies. having some real fun battles. AI has actually built good armies, mix of greatswords, halbreds, artillery, missiles and cav. had a 6k vs my 1k battle, won. worst part is because chaos replaces so fast I was pretty much a full army when my turn came back around as the fight was in the off turn.

I am also pretty much my friends economy. with all the horde building upgrades my chosen are 50 something upkeep, and making 40k a raze. having fun, but also making me want to go back and play as the empire.

What difficulty?

I just finished my first Hard Vortex. I didn't notice much of a difference.

vortex is all pretty much the same. doing the dark elves in vortex is real easy since the enemy springs free armies/slaves on you.

And wonderfully entertaining on the last ritual when 6 full Skaven stacks appear next to Naggarond when you have your top tiered Malekith stack waiting for them.

Easily the most satisfying battle in any campaign.

It is to be noted I had a maxed out Sword of Khaine in the mix. The kill count between the sword's spell and Bladewind was nothing short of amazing.

haven't done it with the sword. never claimed it as the DE, does it have the same penalties as for the HE?

Haven't played HE but the benefits/penalties don't look specific to DE. Almost every province is regularly under rebellion but DE is so good at building up a garrison in any settlement it ends up just being free money/slaves.

yeah if you do that steel faith mod their garrison is great, but don't know if I want that in base game.
