Total War: Warhammer

Started a Teclis campaign last night. 60 turns in, really enjoying the starting location. Got the high elves directly to the East as a military alliance and will confederate soon. Moving up the eastern portion of the island first and then will confederate and push both army heads together and take the island.

That’s the initial plan at least

you mean Tyrion?

Ultuan is a unique challenge and you will roll it fast, the issue is once you have it you become a pretty big target.

Excellent, can't wait to spread the word of our lord and savior Mazdumundi to the Old World.

I can't wait to go frog hunting with my Waystalker. I've heard their legs taste like chicken :p

My carnosaurs could use some new chew sticks. they have also recently developed a liking of elf flesh. so much better than the rats they have been eating.

Then we will fight in the shade.

there is a map out now showing Mortal Empire with the starting locations of all the playable factions. only place I could find was on facebook haven't found another source yet that I could grab from. from what I saw.

1. a couple factions got moved. the loremasters and last defenders got moved to some islands. Clan Mors got moved as well, up the worlds edge mountains close to the original edge of the map.
2. map is pretty squished, it looks like you could use the underway to get between Ulthuan and Naggaroth
3. they added some new areas, they expanded the map east in the southlands to include more lands of the dead. also looks like more stuff up in the chaos wastes
4. Norsca still not on the map yet. neither are tomb kings but its pretty clear they will be added shortly.

Ready for Thursday. should be insane. can't wait to see how it runs. Almost wish there was a way to just let the AI run a couple maps just to see how they usually turn out.

The moment I get home from school on Thursday I'm firing it up.

got about 2 hours in last night. Didn't notice anything different really. Turns definitely take more time. Map got wonkied around a good bit, not just them cutting it off. Started as Kroq-Gar instead of Mazdumundi. fighting rats and the undead.

ME campaigns are LLOOOONNNGGGG. turn 130 and I control 5 provinces and pieces of two more. still around #20 in power. normally I am fully in control and top 5 at this point. I am enjoying it from a diversity of enemies stand point but it is rough sailing.

I started a campaign with Mazdamundi on hard. Lost 12 turns in because the empire colonist broke a non aggression pact and steamrolled me while I was trying to take care of some Norsca faction. Never felt so embarrassed as a total war player.

I echo your sentiments. Tried a coop with him as incest mommy and me as mommy's boy and I wiped to Har Ganeth on hard.

I long for SFO to be updated.

played 14 turns last night. fought 16 battles. 10 with one army. definitely challenging and frustrating but I am enjoying it. Wish I had a better computer to run the turns faster. I always feel like I am loading up a month old save "what was I doing" "Why is my army way over there?". its probably only a minute or two for me but it kills.

so far I have fought, skaven, vamps, orks, beastmen, chaos, and a couple rogue armies. I will probably have to fight the dwarves here in a bit if I want to expand on my land mass. might go invade Lustria however.

What are the specs on your rig?

Louder, wanna borrow my MSI and experience this in 16x AA?

My graphics settings go so high that you can see Carnisaurs sh*tting out Chosen.

got an SSD for boot up but not enough for gaming

battles run just fine, the turns just drag a little.

I remember back in the day when there was that stainless steel mod for medieval. The turn times for that was ridiculous. It was unplayabale for me at least.

never played any of the mods for medieval. I know there are a couple that make it a Warhammer game. but the ones I found were Russian and once installed you couldn't play normal Medieval.
