Since it will be developed from the get-go, do you think city defense scenarios will change depending on the faction who owns it?
Examples: giving the Skaven underground battlemap movement or giving beastmen increased vanguard/deployment opportunities.
havent heard of that one. sounds like it is an overall campaign overhaul?
as the king nerd for this game I feel no shame in pointing out that there is now a coast to the west visible on the world radar and that really excites me. too close to be Ulthuan (high elves) but it does have the general shape. could be Albion. I will be interested to see how the game treats some of these other places.
I kinda really, really like the creeping map growth. Really wish I had screen shot it or something at the beginning just to prove my point.
Devil trying out Steel Faith. I am really enjoying it.
my one complaint is I never get to be the aggressor. about 100 turns in and all my wars have been started as the defender. Wood Elves went bat**** crazy and started attacking people all over the place. One faction went after Karak Azul. One faction is following around random Beastmen hordes but never attacking them. one faction declared war on everyone that bordered Athel Loren. all of that from the very beginning. I am fighting a running war with one of them that started on turn 10.
Also be wary of the Greenskin menace. As WE I was about 80ish turns in and skirmishing the Dwarfs along the Border Prince provinces when suddenly 4 doomstacks each with a Waagh showed up and steamrolled everything. I only managed to stop them just outside King's Glade. Greenskins can be really insane in SFO.
A journalist from PC Gamer got to play TWW2. Details on the Reddit link below.

You want some multiplayer news for WARHAMMER II? You’re about to get a sight for saurus… (get it?)
Free-for-all will be returning to WARHAMMER II! Free-for-all is a multiplayer battle mode, where four players battle each other for victory. The winner is determined by score, which is gained by dealing damage to enemy units as well as being the last player standing. Free-for-all battles are played on bespoke maps, designed to channel player movement and reward active playstyles. Free-for-all matches will be available through the multiplayer battle list in Total War: Warhammer II.
It’s set to be a lot of fun, and we’re pleased to feature it. Just a few quick additional notes – FFA is only available in multiplayer battle list, only available as a four player mode, and as always these are our current development plans but may all change as development and testing progresses.
So good, you probably Terradon’t believe it!
FFA is making a comeback in multiplayer. Must have 4 players and it's based off of a points system. This is from the Total War Facebook page. I'd offer a direct link, but I don't know how any more. Must be getting old.
