Looks like you maybe jumped the gun or misinterpreted what was said. Do you have a link or quotes so we can see what was actually written?
"Is it safe to assume that Pearson is in danger of not being eligible this fall?"
I don't think I'm supposed to link to competitive sites.
But, it's the one with a q in its name.
Is there any context to that question or was the guy just speculating? Was his question reasonable based on what was written? Honestly curious, not flaming.
that answer.
It is a pay site....I'm not a member....
So, I only saw that headline but not the responses.
I brought it here, because this is my main site for Vol news with several UT insiders. So, was hoping someone here could shed some light on this topic.
Wasn't trolling or trying to scare folks. :mf_surrender:
Pig was our healthiest and most consistent WR last year. If Pearson can stay healthy, he can do more with the ball in his hands than Pig.
I really hope you meant to use blue font here. What in world has Von done here that would give you the idea he's better than Pig. Pig is the best WR we have has shown it time and time again. Von is fast but he did next to nothing last year.
Next to nothing??
Despite missing 2 games and being hobbled for a majority of the season, Von was 2nd in receptions, 4th on the team in yards from scrimmage (behind Hurd, Pig and Lane) and led the team in TD catches. Pig was obviously our most productive and consistent WR last year, he was great. However, there's no doubt that Von has a higher ceiling that Pig. Hopefully both stay healthy along with North and we see a special WR corps this year.
summer school will change all of that pretty quickly if true. He is such a quality young man I hope he gets it done. Come on Von!
I'm teaching Contemporary Moral Problems this Summer - send him my way. I'm not going to do him any favors, but it's not the most difficult class. It's something that if you're willing to try, you'll pass.
No...TOS didn't. They said that he has grown and made strides, but coaches were pushing for more consistency from him...from his approach on the field to in the classroom.
People will read into that and I'm sure some will nosedive off of the nearest cliff, but nothing was said about eligibility. Period.
