I didn’t make any claims to this guys guilt or innocence but shooting someone as a citizen is entirely different than shooting someone as an ice agent. There should be concise protocol as to whether this is a good shoot or not. If it meets the protocol to fire his weapon then it is a good shoot. If it doesn’t then he needs to go to jail.

That meme isn’t even worth a comment. Again, it’s an effort at distraction and not pertinent to the topic. Folks need to check out the video of Pretti speaking over the body of the dead veteran at the hospital if they truly want to know about the man. That will tell you all you need to know about his character.

Hard to say, assuming you mean we would be ICE officers for this example. I think the odds are moderately low he gets any charges. If he is, I'd say high odds he beats it and definitely will if overcharged. Unfortunately, Pretti did enough, intentional or not, to provide an out for the officers I think.

There shouldn't be. Either your/someone's life is in eminent danger or it's not, a badge shouldn't lower that standard.

Yep I am that’s exactly what it looks like to me and I find the whole attempt to be 100% disingenuous. In fact it’s massive reaching for straws to even go waste the time on putting this narrative! Absolutely zero weight for me and a bad reflection on anybody pushing the narrative!

And you finishing with the bolded acting like it isn’t the same person is a really bad look for you and your credibility OC. It’s obviously the same person. And I’ve already said it isn’t the exact same picture. One has a warming filter the other appears cool white like outdoors/flourescent lighting.

Alex Pretti did not quit his job months before he was killed.
  • Active Employment: At the time of his death on January 24, 2026, Pretti was an intensive care unit (ICU) nurse at the Minneapolis Veterans Affairs (VA) hospital.
  • Active License: State records indicate he held an active nursing license that was valid through March 2026.
  • Recent Work: Reports indicate he was actively working in the VA ICU and had recently served as a guide for a nursing student during her capstone training.
Pretti was killed by a federal agent in Minneapolis on January 24, 2026, while working as a nurse.

I do believe that if Pretti had really been cognizant of what his sidearm was going to do in ramping up the tension, subsequent risks, and reacted accordingly, he would be alive. That is NOT a defense of the agents, it is nothing more than my common sense saying he would be alive today if he had been better prepared mentally.

I’ve called out a couple of friends directly on this. It’s needless denigration of the victim to offer support to the admin’s royal f$&@ up. As I told them I likely hated this guys politics but I won’t piss on his grave in such a petty fashion.

A desire to stay on the road does not rule out intent to hit the man. I don’t actually think she intended to hit him, but she did. And turning her wheel doesn’t show a lack of intent
