We're learning a lot more about the people who were in the anti-ICE Signal chat groups that independent journalist Cam Higby infiltrated in Minnesota, the organization of the group, its donors, and the significance of the address at which Alex Pretti was obstructing federal officers. There's far too much information to detail completely in this piece, but even just from an overview, it's clear that there is an organized insurrection underway, led by several elected officials in Minnesota and aided by alleged journalists.

Organization​


The groups are highly sophisticated. They're set up geographically; within the City of Minneapolis, they're generally divided by City Council district, but also cover St. Paul, Bloomington, and other suburbs. They start a new chat every day and delete the prior day's chat. Because of Signal's encryption, it would be exceedingly difficult for the deleted messages to be recovered unless, say, participants were recording those messages prior to deletion. Signal also has a "no screenshots" function, which undoubtedly was enabled on these chats, so the messages would have to be recorded the way Higby did - by recording using a separate phone.

They have a set of emojis that each user puts around their name when they're on shift, to indicate what position they're working that shift. For example:

Yeah. You can go back and read my thoughts on it real time. The only ones who should have been arrested are the violent ones. Same here. This latest victim wasn't being violent. And certainly did nothing to warrant being shot.

How is it appeasement to say the FBI should be moved in? I was also on the hig train of cutting off all funding for the state if they aren't turning over held illegals.

Trumps admin is doing the same thing over and over again, as things get worse, and expect different results. Some times you need to step back reassess and try a different strategy. ICE clearly isn't trained, almost at all, but certainly not for dealing with whatever you want to call them rioters/protestors. The FBI i am assuming is actually trained for that so I would defer to them instead of square pegging a round hole and creating social distrust and killing citizens.

Thats why I said bring in the FBI, not locals.

Their anger is rightly towards ICE, two deaths is enough to get the dander up of anyone who isnt a partisan hack. Especially with how bad this second is.

That's a lot of words to say that when they riot you should appease them and walk away.

When this first started, the administration said hand us your criminals and we'll leave you alone. They refused and the administration said if you won't give them we'll be forced to come get them. They wouldn't cooperate with DHS. Not only that they've continuously encouraged their populace to interfere as much as possible. They've specifically ordered their police to stand down and allow their populace to interfere and assault agents. They've allowed paid antagonist to operate with impunity.

But here we are with you placing the blame on DHS. All the ice shootings wouldn't have happened if they would have not placed themselves in a position to interfere with law enforcement. Protesting is fine but there is little protesting going on.

You certainly sound like you are promoting appeasement. All you are doing is rewarding thugery. "Hey if we throw **** at them. If we burn enough **** down. If we destroy enough. If we riot enough, we'll get what we want."

That makes absolutely no sense.

There’s no hypocrisy to care about in something that may have happened 2/3 of a century ago in an election where I wasn’t born yet, much less old enough to remember, support a candidate, or vote in.

If you didn’t care about Trump or his supporters, there was 0 reason to respond.
