Completely agree. Know little about Pretti but kind of guessing that carrying was not something he did regularly or without much thought to it. Got to be cognizant of his situation and the probability of a bad outcome changes with the gun on his hip. Completely agree he did not attack the officer with the benefit of my POV.

There does seem to be a moment when he laid hands on the back of the officer engaged with the woman who was knocked down. In a highly charged moment, he would survive if more aware of how dangerous a situation he was in with ICE and at that moment, the gun was not his friend.
