I would like to know the events leading up to them shoving her, but I agree they shouldn't have done that assuming she was just being verbal.

Its a bone I've had to pick with the police for awhile( coming from someone who is typically pro police) some of the things they can get away with are horrendus.

Agreed. That's his right to carry that weapon. No way I would have carried a firearm to an ICE protest, especially considering the hostile nature both sides have shown. It's complete chaos at one of those events and bringing a firearm, while confronting agents, contributed to his own demise.

No it’s just an irrelevant talking point that distracts from the main issues. It doesn’t matter if it’s at a protest or going to the grocery store a right is a right. We also have no idea if he’d still be alive if his gun was at home. Heck I doubt they even knew he was armed when they first pepper sprayed, tackled and beat his head

I also think we should have constitutional carry everywhere

I've yet to see any evidence that he was acting irresponsibly with the firearm. Can you link that?

It's not my responsibility to ensure authorities are trained and comfortable with citizens exercising their rights.

No, the irresponsible acts by a bunch of untrained agents led to his demise. They have no clue how to handle the public and it shows in almost every interaction from the top down. My rights do not end when you get uncomfortable

It's not irrelevant. If the victim had left his weapon at home, there's a 99.99% probability he'd still be alive this morning.

IF they didn't know he was armed, maybe it would have been a good idea for the victim to identify himself and state he had a loaded weapon on his person. Comply and live to fight another day. Let the courts do their job.

Probably just the two girls yelling at the agent and he got annoyed and started shoving them when they wouldn’t move. I’ll find one of the witnesses story and post it

It’s wild they aren’t held accountable with stuff like this (hopefully they will be this time)

This should be a pretty simple murder case (guilty, btw) for the agents involved in the killing of Petti.

You have no idea if he’d be alive. Heck he was shot while unarmed and the agent who shot him in the back literally watched his gun get removed from his waist band.

What was he gonna comply to? What were the orders given to him? He was peppered sprayed and tackled for helping a women who was shoved to the ground by a grown man lmao

ATF should have never came into existence, that agency should be abolished immediately. As for ICE Trump needs to dial them back and simply say to the Sanctuary Cities / States “cooperate or no more federal taxpayer dollars”.

Get rid of ICE and let CBP handle it. Change the name to just DHS if people want to claim it isn’t their purview make it their purview. You are pro less useless government agencies… right?
