Too much ice

The combination of factors in Minneapolis has proven to be disastrous.
This is the answer:

- Minnesota having a huge illegal Somali population that is rife with fraud/money laundering
- Dem NGOs and all local politicians being either personally involved OR at least benefiting from said illegal activity
- These same politicians changing policy for 5 years and outright refusing to assist in enforcing the law
- National leftist groups being able to use Minnesota as political flashpoint for riots (just like with Floyd/BLM) without any pushback from local police
- Trump and Admin wanting to make a point of states/cities refusing to cooperate with ICE and "punish" the above
- Rhetoric from supporters on both sides suggesting this is some kind of "war" and encouraging violence to further their goals
- Winter ice complicating normal skirmishes into more difficult situations
- Local liberal mom groups working with professional anarchists from other states to antagonize the ICE agents that are arresting illegals
- ICE agents being given free reign by Admin to do what/say what they want during operations
- Actual attacks on ICE agents from the anarchist networks
- Locals caught in middle

Ok why have Democrats in the past believed differently on immigration. I could post a lot clips of your Democrat hero’s talking completely different in the past. So why did the Biden administration let so many immigrants during those 4 years. What was the purpose

Key instances where Democrats blocked or significantly contributed to the failure of immigration legislation include:
  • DHS Funding (January 2026): Senate Democrats have recently vowed to block a six-bill spending package because it includes Department of Homeland Security (DHS)funding. This revolt followed a fatal shooting by a federal agent in Minneapolis, with Democratic leadership stating they will not provide the votes for the bill unless DHS funding is removed or significant reforms are added.
  • Bipartisan Border Bill (May 2024): A $118 billion bipartisan border security package failed for a second time in the Senate. While most Republicans blocked it, several high-profile Democrats—including Alex Padilla, Laphonza Butler, Ed Markey, and Cory Booker—also voted against it, arguing it was too restrictive and lacked essential protections for immigrants.
  • H.R. 2 - Secure the Border Act (2023–2024): House Democrats united in opposition to this Republican-led border security bill, which failed in the House and was later rejected in the Senate. Democrats criticized it as a "partisan bill" that focused on disproven strategies like a border wall rather than comprehensive reform.
  • The "Grassley Bill" (2018): During the Trump administration, Democrats almost unanimously opposed a GOP-led bill that would have provided a path to citizenship for 1.8 million Dreamers in exchange for $25 billion for a border wall and deep cuts to legal immigration.
  • Comprehensive Reform (2007): A major bipartisan immigration reform bill supported by President George W. Bush failed in the Senate partly because of a handful of Democratic holdouts. Some centrist Democrats believed its border security was too lax, while liberal Democrats opposed its guest-worker program, fearing it would undercut American wages.
  • DREAM Act (2010): Most Republican senators and a small group of Democrats blocked a bill that would have granted legal status to undocumented immigrants who came to the U.S. as children.

Lol you can't complain about Democrats not doing enough for the border, when Republicans are on record blocking any meaningful legislation to address the problem with the US immigration system.

bolded isn’t true. The vast majority are legal citizens.

SIAP, haven't caught up yet

The officer clearly screwed up. Not sure what he was thinking.

Usually, there's communication between officers, especially when subduing and removing a weapon from the individual.

It's easy for us to sit here and watch, frame by frame and pick this apart with suggestions of what and what not should have been done. All this happened within a few seconds at the most. In that situation, with the adrenalin rush, elevated stress levels, decision making relies a lot on muscle memory and training.

Source?

If you include those turned away at the border as deportations bush and Clinton both had wayyyy more. Obama had more removed from the country than Bush and Clinton combined
Yes, the Obama administration counted people who were formally removed (deported) after being apprehended at the border as part of their total deportation statistics, a practice that contributed to high deportation numbers.
While the administration did reach record numbers of deportations (over 2.5 million between 2009 and 2015), the methodology for counting them evolved to include, and in many cases prioritize, individuals caught at the border over those apprehended in the interior of the U.S..

This is an AI response, I have to head to town for a bit. I'll share actual source when I return.

Once again what was the reason the Biden administration let in caravans of illegals during his administration.

Please tell me why Democrat leaders the ones who are the face of the party in the past believe in something completely different.

Except the reform they were advocating wouldn’t do anything for most illegals. I’ll give them credit for at least proposing something, but it wasn’t meaningful.

What’s the big deal about Minnesota anyways? They have a relatively small illegal population. Southern states have significantly more. Texas and Florida I think is 10x times the amount. Heck Louisiana has just as many as Minnesota
But are they very brown and of a different creed? The MN state leadership opposing Trump's policies has a lot to do with it too.

Why did the Biden Administration let caravans of illegal immigrants into the Country for 4 years. This is where all this started from. Why did Ice have no problems in Memphis. Where was the protestors

It was their plan and the loud voices opposing this were "deafening" back then, lol.

Per WSJ:

Videos Contradict U.S. Account of Minneapolis Shooting by Federal Agents

"Federal agents claimed Alex Pretti, 37, forced their hand, alleging he “violently resisted” disarmament until the officers fired “defensive shots.”

Bystander footage appears to tell a different story. A frame-by-frame review by The Wall Street Journal shows a federal officer pulling a handgun away from Pretti. Less than a second later, an agent fires several rounds. Pretti died at the scene.

“Where is the gun?” agents shouted in the chaotic aftermath."
