It's not irrelevant. If the victim had left his weapon at home, there's a 99.99% probability he'd still be alive this morning.

IF they didn't know he was armed, maybe it would have been a good idea for the victim to identify himself and state he had a loaded weapon on his person. Comply and live to fight another day. Let the courts do their job.

I’m 100% in favor of getting rid of DHS. Combine ICE and CBP for all I care, one of the few responsibilities the federal government has is securing our border and regulating immigration so there has to be some agency for that.
