In a related story…..
My best subcontractor has been here 20 years. His daughter is a US citizen. He pays taxes. He has an efin and I issue him a 1099 every year. His paperwork ran out a while back. So has his wife’s. She’s staying here but he’s headed back to Mexico. I’ve already started working on help her with her status. Once that’s resolved I’m going to help him get his sorted out so he can return. His cousin who I also sub too has a similar situation with 2 children that are citizens. He’s already in Mexico and we’ve fold his paperwork and are waiting on a response.

I guess I could go waste time protesting instead of actually trying to make a difference.

Good on you slice. Putting action that matters together, while the protesters and the idiots on here that support them are doing absolutely nothing but complaining. A contractor we work with just had a Venezuelan get caught for driving a vehicle with tags registered to another one. Once ICE got him, they found out his work visa had expired (which was his own fault as well as the tag issue). He was planning on returning to Venezuela permanently in March anyway since Maduro is gone. He appreciated the help, but said he wanted to go back home and was just returning a little earlier than he expected and it doesn't cost him anything since they're deporting him. We had a good laugh and let him know if ever wants to come back and work here and stay, we'd be happy to help.

People advocating for arming up against ice or any other police force have no idea what it will take to shoot someone.

And protesting is a huge waste of time. If they want to make a real difference then help someone get their green card and fight against this perceived illegal activity by the police in court. They could also call their congressman/or visit them, to seek immigration reform

It's a mix...some are retired boomers with nothing to do thinking they still are in the 1960s, some are homeless/felons/mentally ill who are either taking money from NGOs or looking to commit crimes for fun, and some are younger stay at home affluent white moms who want to feel like they have power and virtue on social media for their friends

I like how the guy asked him about how the right takes issue with the left arming themselves. The right doesn't take issue with the left practicing their second amendment rights. The right takes issue with their hypocrisy. 😅
