No one is "doing work we need", the only reason certain professions pay illegals is because they can get away with paying Third World prices and avoiding insurance, taxes, etc.So go after the criminals and not the ones doing work we need. I've said that forever
Sweeping at target? That's the issue. There aren't bigger fish to fry than a couple people at target? How about they put that gear to work and go get the baddies? There's a reason I don't go fishing for tuna in the retention pond by our houseI don't think they were there to question him. I think they were sweeping for illegals, for whatever reason Target was the... well, target.
Who said they weren't getting "baddies"? There are almost 600k they have so farSweeping at target? That's the issue. There aren't bigger fish to fry than a couple people at target? No but we need serious reform instead of ice trolling target parking lots. However to think we don't need to labor in certain industries is ridiculousNo one is "doing work we need", the only reason certain professions pay illegals is because they can get away with paying Third World prices and avoiding insurance, taxes, etc.
Are you suggesting that US Immigration laws need to be scrapped and to literally let anyone come in if they "work"?
I have been to protests, as recently as this year. Been involved in union strikes, protests on college campuses… never met one. Is my premise still faulty?I have no idea if they are paid or not. But your premise is faulty. Let me explain.
I've never met anyone from Nepal. My chances to meet someone from there goes us exponentially if I travel to Nepal.
Do you go to protests and engage other protesters in conversation? If not, it is unlikely you would meet a paid protestor.
Not faulty. Your only concern is sample size.I have been to protests, as recently as this year. Been involved in union strikes, protests on college campuses… never met one. Is my premise still faulty?
If there are tens of thousands of people protesting at the same time, and the claim is that they are paid, are you assuming they all live in the same place and never talk about what they do, hence nobody has ever met one? Isn’t that the faulty premise?

Like I said, I'm not terribly interested in arguing your personal indignation. I just jumped in to discuss whether they were legally performing their duties. It seems our discussion has petered out since you're ignoring those posts in favor of a "They didn't sound as nice as I wanted them to while people were yelling '**** you!' at them" discussion.Sweeping at target? They simply weren't trained to deal with people exercising their 1a in their 47 day course. I would be genuinely curious how many new agents believe they can question anyone and we must comply. So make videos out there of them showing they should not be in this workLike I said, I'm not terribly interested in arguing your personal indignation.
