Too much ice

And what would those points be?

There is no way any reasonable person would conclude that he was in fear for his life without any other options.....such as moving out of the way.

You just glossed over #2 and much of the rest. You also have no clue what reasonable is. I’ll give you an example. No reasonable person goes out of their way to harass law enforcement while performing their duties and then try and run them over. These were mentally ill agitators that faafo.

So you believe he was in fear for his life and had no other options?
I do believe he was in fear for his life or serious bodily injury. I do not believe he had the benefit of slow-motion frame-by-frame analysis of the situation as we have. I think @lawgator1 has given a pretty good analysis of the legal standard and application here. I would encourage you to seek that out and read it, if you haven’t already.

I am not saying you are unreasonable in seeing it differently than me, I am simply saying I don’t see it the way you do. I think the officer acted responsibly as a law enforcement officer in this situation.

I wish it hadn’t ended up this way; I don’t think this woman was wicked in her intentions any more than I think the agent was, but I certainly would see how he felt in danger of death or serious bodily injury.

Of course, that may be because I have spent the last 7 months at various ICUs, hospitals and rehabs while dealing with a child who has TBI as a result of being struck by a car.🤷‍♂️

nope. He could have easily avoided shooting her in the face.

That wasn’t the question. You can always avoid shooting someone. You can choose to die even in the worst circumstances.

The question at hand is when two women show up intentionally to agitate, berate you, and then proceed to hit you with their car. Is it reasonable to assume they’re attempting to cause you great bodily harm and/or death? Is it reasonable to believe they’re attempting may be trying to kill you?

To anyone living in reality (not in public schools), the answer is an obvious yes

Let me also point out for this thread that LEOs are not trained to kill anyone. They are trained to stop the threat which unfortunately does involve deadly force at times.

Also like to once again have anyone making judgements read into Graham v. Connor.

No. I'm saying that it is perfectly reasonable for the officer to feel his life was in danger and that she was a threat. And that's all he needs to use lethal force. I have a ton of problems with all of this. I don't have a problem with him firing his gun to kill the threat bc I believe it is reasonable to believe that he felt she was.

Now I don't believe he should have stood in front of her car
I don't think this is how we should be doing any of this regarding ICE
I do think this should go before a grand jury
If I were on that jury I would not vote to indicte
He was not standing in front of the car. If you watch the video, he was walking in front of the car when she started accelerating. Thankfully he was on the left 1/3 of the car when she started forward.

I think he was barely grazed by her car because he was playing some self-created macho version of chicken

That’s purely retarded. “He just wanted to see if he was man enough to get hit by a car!”-someone who educates your kids.

I hope you’re just a special ed student that they let hang around

Do you know how a grand jury is set?

LOL. I am not going to give you a rundown of my day, a la your buddy @Majors, but it started at 4:30am and ended at 5:00 pm. None of it included sleep 😉. I don't give a damn what is on his phone. There is no excuse for the execution

So you’ve not actually seen the video where two lesbians first berate him and then hit him with their car?

And rather than watch it, you prefer ignorance because, who cares what’s on his phone?

Solid take

Being berated by "two lesbians" isn't an issue if he's a trained professional that's supposed to let that go in one ear and out the other one. That doesn't even play in any legal sense. That's the height of ignorance.
