Tony Elliott Appears To Be a Target

TBH any reputable coach willing to take on this 💩 show has my complete support. I mean we can’t even cheat right currently and what do we have to lose? 3 wins against 2 teams that fired their coaches (for losing to us in part) and a rebuild (Mizzou). If anyone hasn’t noticed we aren’t exactly a show pony.

1 year as a coordinator. No head coaching experience. You know, Pruitt was/is considered a guru and had been a national championship win ing DC at two places. This would be a monstrously deflating hire. One can only hope if it's him we finally luck out and he ends up the real deal, because obviously we're too stupid to stop trying to go on the cheap and the up n comers.

I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but I do remember hearing DW during the press conference asking for volnation to be positive. Just because somebody posts doesn't mean its true. We all have our picks but we aint getting paid to pick our next coach. Regardless of who DW marches out in the press conference we all need to roll with the guy and give him a chance. Given DW's track record im gonna get behind the hire and our vols before I pass judgment.....

Everyone melting down and blasting White already, just pay attention to my discussion with OP. This isn’t true.

Now I’ll tell you guys what is true: Bob_Vols on 247 has established himself as a beast of an insider, he’s their version of DP. He’s called everything right in this whole process, even blasting a couple of their Mods/beat writers when their info was wrong.

He says a lot of candidates have to say no before we offer Elliot.
you know this is who they had in mind all along.

Unqualified coaches per Vol Nation.
Phil Fulmer 1992
Bob Stoops 1999
Mike Leach 2000
Mark Richt 2001
Urban Meyer 2001
Jim Harbaugh 2004
Chris Petersen 2006
Dabo Swinney 2008
Jimbo Fisher 2009
Dan Mullen 2009
Bill O'Brien 2012
Lincoln Riley 2017
Kirby Smart 2018
Ryan Day 2019

Every coordinator is bad because Pruitt sucked.

If it's true, then we have to live with it. It's not like my pockets are deep enough to have veto power but it's a departure from what Plowman and Boyd said about wanting an experienced head coach. We will see. I worry about guys who look good coaching a wealth of talent though. Can they do it with lesser talent? If he's the guy, we'll find out shortly whether he can or not.
No issues with that take. Only thing I’d add is we’ve had our fill of coaches who look BAD coaching talent.

I don’t like to be negative and I will not say or post anything insulting about the coach or the AD for that matter. However I dont take kindly to basically being told to eat a spoonful of $#it and smile.

I still remember the Jeff Brohm, Chad Morris and Dave Doeren teasers from our last go-around. I don't understand the rush to assume it's a done deal. Why not wait until we hear an announcement that he has been hired? We have jumped the gun in the past on here.
