I actually believe we have a much better chance of landing a really good coach, like a Patterson, Petersen, Fuente, or others. I think a lot of people in the industry didn’t like or respect Currie. But I truly believe Fulmer is very respected amongst coaches in the industry and that could help us in this search.

Will we land a big fish? Idk it depends if we are willing to spend money and give up control. Which is more likely now that with Haslams at helm.

Regardless I think we finish with a good coach.

If Gus does indeed leave Auburn, I would love to see us bring Kevin Steele back as DC. I don’t think Tee comes as OC, only as HC.

My guy is Petersen probably unlikely but that’s my choice.

He was the first to report that Haslam was the problem......couple of yrs ago. That sums up the mess TN has been in for the last 10 plus yrs. Ive been listening to him for nearly 5 yrs and he has been right more than not. And he dont pull the wool over the fans eyes like several do.

I heard of a story about all this happening with Haslem from the start of this year's Gruden thread. We just had a two run hit in the bottom of the 9th got to see what the next 2 hits do !

These 3 have proven to be able to get the most of what they have. Leach and Kiffin anyway are very good at it. Then you go to tweaking the scheme to fit the players on hand. It seems neither of them are on UT's radar for one reason or the other. I'm not saying there aren't others capable but these 3 stand out as exceptional, IMHO.

So we just brought Fulmer in as AD and apparently, pushed back on Haslam. For the first time in years, that power guard that made bad decision after bad decision has been confronted. And, your take is that no 'young coach with half a brain will come here'?

No idea about Basillo, but I’m really hoping that Wisconsin figures out how to win because I really don’t want to hear the idiot pundits praising Schiano’s defense and making snarky remarks about us not taking him as our coach.

Schiano never should have been offered the job. That just proves how absolutely incompetent John Currie is.

People just don't want to work anymore, the Vols can pay someone 4,5, or $6,000,000.00 year as head coach and no one will take the job, go figure?:popcorn:

Only matters if somebody offers him a HC job. I got 20 bucks says nobody does.
