In high school, you were afraid of your parents beating you? We aren't talking about a little kid getting a spanking, we're talking about you in high school.

Damn, dude.

No. But with that scenario? My mom may have. Now I understand some people pay for that sort of thing, but it's not really my style.

It's really not like what you think, I never had a hand raised. I would have never been in fear of my life. Lol. You sound like you're trying to go to some dark place. My point is that my parents would have looked at me, not the cop.

How do you know her parents aren't disappointed in her? It is possible to be both disappointed in the kid and pissed at the cop, right?

Sure. It's cute you think they will be.

I could see it easily. Mom comes in and says to the kid "You! there is no good reason for you to sit there and refuse to move when your teacher says to move. You should have moved the second he told you to move and then let me and the other adults settle it down at the office."

Then she turns to the SRO and says "And you! You big old man can't get a little girl to move without throwing her out the door? What is wrong with you? You better learn some people skills if you are going to keep this job!"

I know probably 20+ mothers who would do this.

What should he have done? She wasn't leaving. She has a death grip on her desk.

And yes, responsibility extends to police as well. But there has been no alternative suggested.

Also, to correct issues you have to correct where they start. And it started with two girls in this class.

I have asked several times about videos before and no one has an answer besides to do nothing.

Most of these I expect the boot-lickers to try and justify but every once and and while one comes along and it simply amazes me when people don't see how f'd up is it.

Some of these people are effin' crazy.

What blows my mind more is it's almost always so called conservatives who take the "cops are never wrong" attitude; which make no effin sense at all.

Replace "do what a cop tells you and shut up" with "do what the government tells you and shut up" and yet most have a (selective) problem with the second statement but cheer at the first.

Call her mother, father, aunt, uncle, etc, call another teacher that she trusted, or perhaps the school secretary.

There are other adults that could help the situation before it turns to violence.

Now, if that doesn't work, move the rest of the class to an open classroom. Have a discussion with them about the effect of classroom disruptions, while school leaders work out her consequences back in the original classroom. School leaders maintain their authority without looking like a bunch of jackboots.

Reports are saying her infraction was taking out her cell phone in class and not putting it away fast enough.

So basically shut down the class for the day bc she wants to act like an idiot....Wow.....what would she have done if it was something serious....her parents need to teach her to respect her teachers.

Yep. Had I caused such a disruption to be asked to leave, refused then had a school admin tell me to leave, refused then a cop comes in and tells me to leave or he'll force me to and I still refused and had to be forcibly removed while being caught on video for the country to see...... Yeah..... Never hit, but very little doubt had this happened I may have for being a stupid little s***.

However, I was never a worthless F, so it never would have happened anyway.

Yep I wasn't beat either until I got thrown off the school bus.

is the only thing you are scared of violence? at least when it comes to punishment?

I don't expect a thoughtful answer from you, but no, you wouldn't need to shut down a classroom for the day. Instruction could continue in another classroom while they settled the issue in private. I'm sure her parents do teach that, but since we don't know the initial infraction (have heard it was cell phone use in class) we don't know who is right or wrong. We just know who got tossed out of the room and locked up in jail.

It really is an astounding case of cognitive dissonance.

Lol, yeah I know quite a few as well. We'll see if we see that angle in this situation. I foresee tv interviews soon.

FTR cops act insppropriately and there are many instances to back it up.

There is no they're always right or they're always wrong. It's humorous how many always claim they're wrong with not recognizing their hypocrisy.

By a police officer? Did he knock you down first? And then pick you up and hurl you off the bus?

Nope thrown off the bus for two weeks.... Paddled very hard by the principal.....then a$$ beaten at home by my dad.... I did not feel like sitting down for awhile
