Why would his systems shut down at that particular moment? What would have been the catalyst for that to happen?

If any of us walked into a police station tweaking and acting erratically then we will be thrown down and handcuffed in the same manner. The question is if the police actions would have affected an average healthy individual the same way....if the police actions helped cause his death bc of drug abuse then it is the individuals fault.

Unless a guy has a gun or knife in a 1 on 1 struggle and is trying to kill a cop there is ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE EVER FOR A COP TO PUT THEIR KNEES ON SOMEONE'S NECK. I rarely interject in the arguing here but if you deny this fact you are a freaking moron. Period.

This driver had it exactly right... this cop was bored and had too much time on his hands. Pulled over for having an air freshener "obstructing" his view...

All I heard in my head while reading this was the incessant bleating of sheep.

Don't cross in the middle of the road... cross at the intersections... (that only applies to civilians not cops, though).

I have to give cops credit when credit is due. Nobody died and no guns were pulled out. Bravo...

But seriously, how long will it be before yelling and screaming at a ballgame is a jail worthy offense?

I've avoided that thread for a reason. Honestly, I don't care of someone has been drinking and getting loud at a ball game. Others will be just as loud and that adds to the experience. If you want quiet, go to a library.

However...

When the actions negatively affect those around them as some have pointed out, a third party is sometimes necessary to step in. Obviously a warning is in order to begin with, but you and I both know stupid people exist everywhere as well as those who just can't handle their booze. If I pay good money to watch a ball game, I'm damn sure not going to let some fool ruin it by being an obnoxious douche that can't handle their alcohol. And if I (as a fan) can't get through and reason with them, then a third party interceeding is warranted.

For the record, that cop in Colorado is an idiot. And that ticket will likely be tossed out. It really was a stupid ticket to write and a compete waste of everyone's time. And the fact the department isn't making a statement about it leads me to believe they feel the same way.
