Wow I guess they have found a new way around the 4th. All they have to do is say someone called for help.

Is the homeowner going to file a complaint?

I doubt it. He's too happy go lucky. As soon as they left he was saying he should have taken their names and badge #s, but I doubt he would have done anything.

Personally I find that story more disturbing than Huff's.

Much more.

It wasn't that bad. They were in the house for 1 minute, probably. I think we got lucky they didn't find anything, honestly, so I don't think anybody was too mad about it.

So if the police were to get a call about someone being held against their will, they should wait for an authorization to search?

Is hat all it takes to get a home search? A phone call to 911?

What about a desperate/frantic post on Facebook or Twitter?

What if the would have (legitimately) smelled marijuana smoke?

You would be singing a different tune.

Wasn't sure if this deserves a new thread or not but Commissioner Bratton of NYPD wants New York lawmakers to make resisting arrest a felony charge.

I support the police in better than 90 pe4cent of what i read onhere. If you really think resisting shoild be a felony...and completely at an officers discretion, which it is..i have absolutely no respect for you and you are one of the power hungry wanna be macho got your ass whipped.daily in gym class kind of cops that 99 percent of society d3spises. Hide behind that badge, champ.

Time, appointments, other persons expecting you, the desire to be somewhere else...I see plenty of reasons to blow cops off when I am quite certain I have done nothing wrong.

How many times has the police stopped u for doing nothing wrong?

Went to a wedding rehearsal dinner last night and the cops broke up the after-party. They claimed a person called in said that someone had cried "help" so they were authorized to look through the whole home, and did....

I've had this happen to me as well.

Wasn't at a home but at the farm. The gate was locked and they wanted through the gate. I declined. They then stated one of us called out for help and jumped the gate.

3 on 1 fast break... ah hell, we're tired. Lets Just shoot the guy.
