I chuckle at the "racist" angle here. That community is predominately white according to the wiki article. And yet they have a black police chief in a town that has a 0.12% black population.

Somehow I get this feeling race isn't at work...

Affirmative-action at its finest...

Back in this thread, people were suggesting not to argue with the cops during a routine traffic stop. Here's a good reason why:

Video: SC man claims to be cop, tries to stop wife's arrest after pursuit

Watch the video and you'll see how playing the race card is now a huge part in even the most minor infractions.

Too many laws or too many criminals...

All this started because she was (allegedly) going 39 in a 25. Really?

At the end, was it really worth it for the cops or the drivers?

That's almost 15 over man... Are you really saying there shouldn't be speed limits?

Yeah, because the first reaction on her part was to deny she was going over the speed limit. You know how many drivers do that on a regular basis? And her next reaction was to reach for the race card...

Was it really worth it to argue over handing over the required documents and perhaps only get a verbal warning?

This was all on her.

Agreed. She instantly pulls the race card and refuses to comply. What was he supposed to do? Just say "Oh you're right. My bad."? No that's asinine.

She was right, "I didn't do anything" about obeying the officer when requesting drivers license, registration and insurance. She DIDNT DO ANYTHING but moan and whine

I just recognized your user title under your name. Very classy my friend.

Yeah Thanks GV, I like the old man. I'd love to have a beer with him one day, maybe on the other side. He's a cool character, never got pissed off like most of us here on VN. HOPE HES DOING BETTER.

Would you have argued like she did (minus the race card obviously)

Let me ask, is going after people going 15 miles over the limit worth these occasional chases and putting civilians and officers lives at risk?

I mean, in the grander scheme of things, is society being scourged by speeding drivers or by rapists, murderers and molesters? Pulling over people going 40 in a 25 or going 90 in a 75 for that matter isn't exactly heavenly work. Spare me any replies regarding safety and children. Other countries are not as aggressive about traffic as we are here because we primarily use traffic laws as a way to bring in revenue in this country, yet advertise and sell it as a way to make us safer.
