To Protect and to Serve II

I want to decide what to do with my life and property and I want everyone else to do as they choose with their life and property. I believe all interactions between people should be voluntary. There is no greater minority than the individual. Perhaps we’ll get there, one day.

then go found your own society where that is the case. as it is our society has predated your want to be left to your own devices.

Why wasn’t the Swiss invaded during ww2 with all the death and chaos that was going on all around them?

Here’s a hint, they have a very strong rifleman culture there, and the populace are armed.

don't be obtuse, it has a lot more than that going on.

Its also in the mountains, and the entire population is the military, they are all required to do yearly training with the military. those same mountains are garrisoned and entrenched. it also has a VERY long (longer than we have been settled) neutral stance, and has stood by it. I am sure being the bank to many countries rich also helps.

the population also doesn't keep their guns at home.

For the record, the rifle of the Swiss during the time of WW2 was the K31 “Schmidt Rubin” rifle. Those were kept at home by the citizens.

I will say, as much as most here seem to love government, if we were invaded, y’all would likely feel right at home with yet another states boot on your throat.

Do you have a problem with stop and frisk? No knock forced entry?

If they have probable cause no. Now what constitutes probable cause is an entirely different debate. I don't agree with that in alot of cases, however if and when it effects me I'll address it through the channels afforded to me at the time

It's funny how some talk about government like it's a sentient being with a mind of it's own. It's not, it's an entity made up of people who we let control us.

Today we have the government we deserve, yes it's your and my fault along with the fault of every one of our past relatives for the last 100+ years.

Ok, I generally stay out of this stuff, but this is literally the most asinine thing I've seen on here in quite some time. Literally everything you do has consequences. You want to do what you want, when you want without regard for others, then renounce your citizenship. Move to some deserted island in the Caribbean. Then you can be your own government or however the hell you phrase it. If you're going to live in society with others there are rules that are put in place to govern that society. Don't like them? Then elect someone who is more in tune with your like of thinking. Otherwise, do as I suggested and find you an island.

Let me ask you this. Is there an HOA where you live?

Theyll still want taxes.

That’s like blaming the rape victim for being raped. When you place all the guns and decision making power in the hands of a select few (the worst of humanity) then say, limit yourself, sh*t has a poor track record of working out.

Your analogy would be apt if the rape victim walked up to the perp, took their clothes off and asked to be screwed.

We have the power to change our government but it's just easier to ***** about it.

Vote and or revolt. But don't act like there aren't options.

“A man's rights rest in three boxes: the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box.”
Frederick Douglass

I guess we will find out in a few years once other nations start rejecting the dollar. 21 trillion in debt.... wow!

You read "without consequences" and went left. You totally missed what he was saying.

We defeated ourselves in Viet nam. Linebacker1 and linebacker2 were very successful, high altitude carpet bombing from b52s that killed every living thing above ground. Worked great.

That's why there was never linebacker3.look it up...politicians didn't want to win the war. Never carpet bombed again. Instead sent poorly trained teenagers to wage war on foot against guerilla tactics and booby traps in jungles those people had lived in for hundreds of years with 1000s of miles of underground tunnels so we could never track their movements. Kids never stood a chance. The only US war that makes me hang my head, and the 2 men in my family closest to me each served 26 years.

That war was bullcrap from start to finish

The last sentence is all that I really agreed with regarding Vietnam. We never should have been over there to begin with.
