Only idiots blame police issues as "concerns about training". It's the insane liberal idea that if they'd just done a few more hours of sensitivity training, we wouldn't have as many issues.

If you want to solve the problem, double the pay, cut the force by 75%, and increase the standards for becoming a cop. Stop accepting room temperature iqs.

And most importantly, privatize the police force so every time these idiots get sued, it doesn't come out of my pocket.

Who transports the mentally ill from a general hospital to a mental facility?

Who goes to unattended death scenes?

Who works accidents?

Who does traffic direction when a red light stops working or when Green Day comes to town?

Who tracks the Sex Offenders?

Who rescues people in natural disasters?

The list goes on and on.

Police work isnt just busting punks with a sack of bud (although it's so fun).

Great. Let's end the drug war, unconstitutional road blocks, and the extortion that we call traffic law, and they'll have plenty of time for all of that.

But if they are unable to shake down the citizens with traffic fines and civil asset forfeiture related to those items, then how will they be able to generate revenue?

Again you show your ignorance of police work. I would say the city of Atlanta expends under 5% of their force to dedicated narcotics work. Road blocks make up less than .001%. Traffic laws are generally officers doing work between calls unless they're assigned to a traffic division.

5% for narcotics? That means a town employing 20 officers could save 30k a year. Probably closer to 40-50 after you consider benefits and vehicle cost.

You know what you should do between calls? Wait at the station. Stop wasting gas money to harass citizens.

While we are talking about saving money:

Drive to work like every everyone else.

Citizens call the police. Gas is cheap, most citizens welcome seeing police in their neighborhood. Response times are usually faster if resources are deployed.

Police are on call and generally live in the communities they work in. Again, most citizens like having a patrol car in their neighborhood.

Most citizens probably prefer saving on their taxes if given the option. Plenty of people are on call. They can drive to work like everyone else.

Citizens prefer paying for their safety and gladly pay that tax which is probably under 50 bucks a year. Do me a favor and go to a neighborhood and knock on some doors. Ask them.
