I didn't see his comment, I saw yours, but my comment is directed at you and anyone else who diminishes what we do down to an incident report.

And since you asked in such a nice way...

I've been to a few robberies in progress this year, I rolled up on a crowd of about 20 people about to brawl in a local trailer park and, I'd like to think, prevented more than a few assaults from occurring, been to a few shootings, ran down a few guys for various charges, was first on scene of a shots fired/hostage/kidnapping/possible homicide call, been in a few fights, been in two situations where, if one thing went a different way, I might have taken a life, sent two child rapists to jail, and soon to be (hopefully) prison, etc, etc. etc.

That's all you know? Do you know if it was dark where they encountered her, whether she was medicated or intoxicated, whether she had any mental illness, whether she had anything in her hands, whether she disobeyed any commands, what was reported to the officers by dispatch?

No. You don't. And all those things may show that the shooting was unjustified. You don't know yet.

Per the news report I read she was unarmed, talking to officers who had arrived and were still in their vehicle. What scenario is there, whether she was intoxicated or not, that would justify deadly force?

I supposed she could have been reaching into their car trying to strangle an officer, but that seems highly unlikely.

We don't know, but that didn't stop involuntary from guessing that it's an accident.

What we do know is that they violated department policy by not having their cams on. No matter what happens, their needs to be a stiff punishment (paid leave is not going to cut it) otherwise cops are gonna conclude, "I guess I don't have to have my camera on".

I surmised it was accidental. You guys took the other route and surmised it wasn't. That's the whole problem, you Leo haters always assume it's a bad cop. I don't.

Yes, can't wait to hear why a cop in the passenger seat of his cruiser shot the Aussie woman through the door of the vehicle at a time when the woman was apparently talking to the officers. She had called the police herself. Why would a cop in the passenger seat, talking to a woman in her bathrobe, even have his gun out in the first place?

I don't know how pointing out that a cop is unlikely to get there fast enough in many scenarios is being misconstrued as offensive. Cops aren't omnipotent and omnipresent, it's not a knock, just a fact. That's why people buy guns for home defense.

Get a grip.

Just last week.... one jumped a fence and chewed two kids out of their car seats in a parked car without provocation. A few years ago an elderly owned two pits and had raised them from pups.... started her lawnmower and it spooked them and they attacked her chewing her face off....I had a friend that use to breed them and train them to be docile.... one time someone brought him a dog that was a few years old to work with and train.... his own personal pit that he owned charged trying to get to the other dog and bit my friends arm tearing through muscles and tendons and causing my friend to lose most of the use of that arm....

If she didn't have a weapon and attempt to attack the officer there is no excuse.
