The police should only draw their weapon when there is an identifiable threat.

Except she has her side arm out and pointed at him the whole time. Maybe the taser shot caused her to flinch and pull the trigger. Which begs the question why she had it out to begin with.

I'll tell you this, until we see a change in malum in se vs malum prohibitum laws, nothing will ever change.

Most of these so called "laws" are completely arbitrary and amount to nothing more than a cash grab.

These cops basically have a license to kill and do so at a moments notice.

You don't get shot for simply not following orders but not following orders can get you shot....// all it takes is a cops perception is that you are going for a weapon.

I'll tell you this beast, it appears from just your anecdotal evidence you've provided, cops are psychopaths. A point I am in complete agreement with. Cops are cowards who show up in packs and go to guns with the slightest perception of disobedience.

If we know this about police,why do we tolerate the abuse? Surely there is a market solution.

Yeah I get that, unfortunate that is the first response as opposed to just talking to a person.

Edit, I should say was their response in this case, other police do talk to those that serve.

Name your political bad actor throughout history and you'll discover, absent cops or military, they would've never attained the level of power they accumulated.

The reason is, they are the tip of the spear for all that is politics. They enforce the edicts of the political bad actor.

Yeah, I haven't heard those details yet. From the 911 calls it appears something happened to his car that caused him to jump out and leave it running in the middle of the street with the door open. That is strange. Police respond to the 911 calls and investigate. He walks up while they are there. We don't know what is said, but just see him enter the frame with his hands up and go to the driver side. The police have their weapons drawn and appear to be talking to him but you can't hear what is said. He made that fatal error of reaching into the car and they tased him and then shot him. I think he was either reaching in to turn off the engine or get his license. That mistake cost him his life, unfortunately.

Watch the videos where they go through shooting training...... It takes a split second to be shot bayou decide to hesitate....it's why this guy and every other person should stand there with their hands up and not move so the cop doesn't have to make that choice. You never know what the cop just came from either which can affect the outcome of this situation.

It's amazing that anybody can watch the footage of a shooting like this and still come to the defense of the cops involved.

This was murder, plain and simple.

They're peace officers, not grizzly bears. You shouldn't have to consider being murdered if you move simply because Jackboot Johnny is on the scene.

That is true if the world was like Mayberry and Barney only needed his one bullet but this is the real world where in Chicago in one weekend. Up to 20 people can die from gun violence.

Indeed. It becomes a racial thing and the point is lost. The greater point is these people are killing all people left and right, as well as subjecting everyday folks to violence. All the BLM folks want is more government. They'll get it, good and hard.

The most important thing you must realize is every law is backed up with a gun. There is violence inherent within the system. Most will say, "don't break the law." Please keep in mind, most of the laws and regulations these days are completely arbitrary and made up at the whim of the politicians. When dealing with the state, in any form, there is always a gun in the room. That gun is pointed at you. There's no other way to say it.

You are doing olympic level mental gymnastics, like you always do, to defend terrible decisions by bad actors. You make it seem like every single time you even see a cop, you need to throw your hands up, get on your knees, and start begging for forgiveness- otherwise they might panic and shoot you. And if that happens, it's your fault for not assuming the position. Good grief.

Agreed. The BLM crowd is funded by Soros anyways and need to be ignored. They are paid to do exactly what they have been doing, which is racial fragmenting the country.

Cops of all races kill civilians of all races. That is the problem. Not white cops and black civilians.

It's not mental gymnastics..... It's common sense.... If a cop pulls his/her weapon on you put your hands where they can see them and don't move.... You don't have to drop to your knees and bow to the cops...... Watch some of the videos where the cops hesitate and try to talk to the guy and how quick they ended up shot before they can react.... My personal opinion is that this is.a bad shoot before hearing all the evidence yet. That still doesn't change the fact that the man would be alive if he had followed those two simple steps.

IMO, these cop shootings are a simple fix.... Educate the public on how to handle interactions with police and what the police reaponsibilities are in those situations.... More training for the police.... Make sure we have high quality body cameras for all the police....create a federal level mixed race/sex judicial review board to review all cop shootings.....after the investigation is completed tell the reasons for punishment or the reasons why it was a good shoot if at all possible in our sue happy society.
