Exactly what laws are used specifically to oppress and harass? Be specific and factual. No opinionated offenses.
It's a system, Cletus. Plenty of things will get you rung up when you've effectively done nothing wrong other than violate some statute.
Riding a bicycle on the sidewalk, or walking in the street, even when not interfering with foot or vehicular traffic, can get someone stopped, accosted, and questioned. Was any harm done? No. But a statute was violated so the jackboot lickers rejoice.
Just an example. Congrats on your fancy pants job. I like turtles. And if I'm not legally obligated to show my ID you and your cop buddies can lick my grundle.Been accosted for jaywalking much?
i promise you, my job carries a much higher risk of being accosted by the cops. And I don't mean the silly little city cops. I'm talking state and federal.
So calm down if you get asked for ID. Show it, and go on about your merry way.
Coconut up...

So you lied then. That's what I thought. I asked to name laws that are around only to harass and oppress.
Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of laws that need to be scrapped, but none are only to oppress and harass.
Why so mad?
I drive a dump truck.
We are regulated like that of pilots.
You riding your skateboard in the park after hours doesn't constitute being accosted.
They're a gateway to harassment, and you know exactly what I meant by it. If I'm going to play semantics games it won't be with the likes of you.
I've had a CDL for about 20 years, wanna rub weiners together?
Next time I drive a machine out to a job I'll check the glove box for the superhero medals that come with the license. They must've forgot to issue mine.

Agreed. We'd need way less police if criminals were afraid of the consequences for murder, rape, assault, robbery, etc...

Terence Crutcher, black man shot by Tulsa police, was unarmed - BBC News
The head of police in Tulsa in the US state of Oklahoma says a black man shot dead by officers on Friday was unarmed.
Authorities are investigating the death of Terence Crutcher, 40, who had his hands in the air when he was shot next to his car, relatives say.
Tulsa Police Chief Chuck Jordan said "there was no gun on the suspect or in the suspect's vehicle" and promised justice would be achieved.
Police say they will release a dash cam recording of the shooting.
Officers came across Mr Crutcher's stalled vehicle while they were en route to another call, reports say.
It is stories like that which probably burn me even more than the busted taillight shootings...
