"They said, 'We're ramming (the suspect),' " Shoupe told a deputy in body-camera footage obtained by CNN this week. "I said, 'Don't ram him. Shoot him.' "F*** that s***. You're gonna tear my cars up."
The chase began on a late April afternoon when police in Smithville, in DeKalb County some 55 miles southeast of Nashville, tried to pull Dial over on suspicion of driving with a suspended license,
"If they don't think I'll give the damn order to kill that mother*****, they full of s***."
"I love this s***. God, I tell you what, I thrive on it."

As Mader ordered the man to show his hands, Williams did, revealing a handgun. Mader ordered him to drop the weapon.
"I can't do that," Williams responded, according to court documents. "Just shoot me."
Even as Mader attempted to de-escalate the situation, Williams pleaded repeatedly: "Just shoot me."
Mader, who is white, didn't shoot, thinking deadly force wasn't necessary. In those tense moments, he reasoned that Williams, who was black, was a threat to himself but not to others.
But as Mader was attempting to talk Williams down, two more Weirton police officers arrived on the scene. As they did, Williams raised his gun - and was shot and killed by another officer.
A month after the incident, Mader would be fired from the department for "failing to meet probationary standards of an officer" and "apparent difficulties in critical incident reasoning." He would also be publicly accused of having frozen and privately called a "coward" by a colleague, court documents revealed.
Video evidence reveals that an armed Broward County resource deputy stationed at Stoneman Douglas High School during the Valentine's day massacre did "nothing" during the shooting - instead waiting outside as a gunman opened fire on students and teachers, killing 17.
Speaking at a press conference, Broward Sheriff Scott Israel said the on duty officer at Stoneman "never went in." Israel said he was "devastated" after watching the video showing the deputy taking a position outside the Western side of Building 12 while shots rang out, "and he never went in" despite having a clear view of the entrance.
When asked by a reporter what the deputy should have done, the Sheriff replied "Went in. Address the killer. Kill the killer."

It's so easy to pull guns on helpless civilians that have busted taillights and might have some reefer in the glove box.
So lets get this straight. He had the time in, he was allowed to retire, ah, lets just dig up the actual quote from the sheriff, shall we?
"As is his right, Scot Peterson chose to resign, because he has the necessary time with the agency and meets the requirements of retirement, he resigned and retired."
So..... that being the case, are the good people of Broward county going to have to pay this man his pension? Im sorry, but, dereliction of duty should disqualify him from ANY future benefits. That is, unless he wants to go knock on the door of the parents he so terribly failed.....
As we see folks, time and time again, you are on your own. But dont worry, the state wants to leave you disarmed to face these threats. Because thats what they chose to blame, our guns. Not the abject failure of law enforcement from the local level all the way to Uncle Scam at the fbi.
The good sheriff even sat on the stage and went on and on at great length about how our guns are the problem....
Good night, and good luck.
Can't imagine living with yourself the rest of your life if you puss out like that. A good death > a ****ty existence
Agree. I wont pretend taking a life is easy to live with. But Im certain it would be exponentially easier to live with than knowing you couldve saved lives.
It takes a lot of courage to run towards gun fire. It's scary AF but that's the job. If you're not up for it, you shouldn't be wearing a badge. The man's a coward...but no one is braver than when behind a screen and a keyboard.

Some Coral Springs police were stunned and upset that the four original Broward County Sheriff's deputies who were first on the scene did not appear to join them as they entered the school, Coral Springs sources tell CNN. It's unclear whether the shooter was still in the building when they arrived.

"Shocked And Outraged": Four Broward Deputies Waited Outside School As Children Were Massacred
It used to be that we complained that cops didn't do much "serving" in "protect and serve". Now, they don't seem to do much "protecting", either.
