A lot of times, TYT gets it wrong, but they are making valid points here.

Disgusting. The cop should be fired and charged with assault.
Bet he doesn't jaywalk again.
Just kidding. Doubt he learned his lesson.
But for those who think its BS this is one of those things that the government has to do because people are generally too stupid to protect themselves. I'm sure any of my central Florida neighbors here can vouch but jaywalking literally kills AT LEAST 1 person a week in Orlando.

Lets carry that line of reasoning out to its logical conclusion. If the government has to look out for the people and protect them because they are too stupid, then you obviously don't have an issue with the govt giving free food and housing to these same people because they are too stupid, correct?
Since when did any of America's founding documents even mention the government protecting the citizen from themselves?
Nope. Their lives suck. Not my problem.
The officer in that video could have absolutely done things different. But the douchebag who decided to thug out could have probably acted a lot different as well. Its almost like some segments of our community cannot learn from past mistakes. I got this feeling that they are the ones who keep touching the hot stove after burning themselves..
For your second paragraph the world our Founding Fathers lived in was VASTLY different than today. Natural selection still existed.
Well.... he was cracking head but we have no idea what transpired beforehand... hard to throw a lot of shade at this point
According to the criminal complaint, Promvongsa caught the attention of an off-duty officer by following closely, speeding past him and later saying he "was going to get his boys and come back to get them." The officer said he believed Promvongsa was attempting to harm him and another off-duty officer. They called dispatch.
The officer and Agent Joe Joswiak then attempted to pull Promvongsa over, but said he wouldn't stop his vehicle at first. The video picks up what happened next.
The ACLU is now demanding an investigation into Joswiak's actions and calling for his termination and prosecution.
"Police have a very important job to do and valuable job to do, to enforce the law and to protect people. It is not their job to take punishment into their own hands and whoop on people," Gordon said.
This is what happened before...
So these cops were allowed to engage in a little road rage and got in their feelings because some kid smarted off to them. If a civilian had pulled the same stunt, they would be in jail right now.
50% is a good starting point. I don't think that is unreasonable.
