She says officers who questioned her after the incident told her they were trying to stop Cain for jaywalking.

She doesn’t understand how jaywalking could have come to what she witnessed.

“I just want some answers. What happened?” said Cain’s live-in girlfriend Antoinette Stewart.

She says she fell in love with his goofy, spirited personality two years ago and can’t imagine why something like this would happen.

She can imagine him cutting across a street in his long walk home from his co-manager job at a TV store, but as far as her knowledge of him breaking any laws?

“Never been to jail. Never been arrested ever,” Stewart said.

When asked, Sacramento police could only tell FOX40 by phone that an officer tried to stop a man for a violation at Cypress and Grand around 5 p.m.

So, about that busted taillight???

EXCLUSIVE: 'Both lights were clearly on' - Witness rubbishes police claim that black man whose death was streamed on Facebook had busted taillight on his car when he was pulled over

'The rear lights were on. The car was still running and it was night-time, so you could clearly see both lights were on.'

He said that officers warned bystanders if they shot video, their phones would be taken for evidence

The rear lights were on. The car was still running and it was night-time, so you could clearly see both lights were on. 'There were two lights on the rear. One had red tape on it to the left of the rear.'

An off-duty African-American police officer was shot Wednesday night by a white colleague in St. Louis, while both officers were attempting to aid first responders after a high-speed car chase ended in a crash, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department told Yahoo News.

Authorities said the injured officer was in his home when he heard a crash. He decided to help officers who had already arrived at the scene, who had exchanged fire with the suspects. His colleagues initially ordered the unnamed officer, who was also armed, to the ground, but after recognizing him they invited him to approach them.

“At this time, a responding officer (36-year old white male with over 8 years of service) just arriving in the area observed this and fearing for his safety and apparently not recognizing the off-duty officer, discharged a shot, striking the off-duty officer in the arm,” the police department said by email.

I'm sure he was a normal kid just minding his own business. Cops just tackle black kids every day because they're black.

There's literally no context here whatsoever.

More context needed? He didn't do anything from what can clearly be seen in the video.

Jaywalking... heaven knows we need to get these pesky jaywalkers off the streets. Forget child predators, banksters, corrupt politicians and murderers... lets get these people that cross at intersections...

A lot of times, TYT gets it wrong, but they are making valid points here.

Watch the dashcam footage highspeed. It was for the 3rd brake light.

The dashcam video CLEARLY shows both left and center tail lights out. The right and left break lights work. But tail lights are out.

Let's not make an unfortunate situation worse by promoting false factual claims.

More proof that a cops first reaction is to use a gun, not use logic/reason. All most cops know how to do is escalate a situation, not deescalate.

Of course, this cop won't get any type of criminal conviction.

Most cops??? Like literally over 50%? Or, are you using hyperbole for effect?
