To Protect and to Serve II

And what was the crime he committed?

cellphone video has surfaced showing the fatal deputy-involved shooting of Noel Aguilar in Long Beach last year. The video shows two Los Angeles sheriff’s deputies killing a man after they had chased him for riding a bicycle while wearing headphones. The incident took place more than a year ago with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department initially telling the media that they shot and killed 23-year-old Noel Aguilar, a “known gang member,” after he pulled out a gun and shot a deputy. But now a video shows the two deputies struggling to arrest Aguilar when one deputy pulls out his gun and shoots the second deputy before placing his gun back into its holster, then placing the blame on Aguilar.

I'm not a big fan of spitting on people. But I don't see any spit flying or any provocation or a reason for the homeless guy to spit.

recently released Dashcam footage shows on the evening of January 3, 2015, a veteran Seattle police department officer named Clark Dickson punched a homeless 21-year-old in the head. Dickson later said he'd been spit upon and that his "reactionary" punch was justified. He went on to say he'd learned in a training session to punch a suspect who spits. A patrol car's dashcam video captured the punch. Over one month later, after Captain Proudfoot watched the video, the captain came to believe Officer Dickson had used excessive force and reported Dickson to the department's civilian-led accountability arm for an investigation. That investigation, including a detailed analysis of the video, couldn't definitively prove that the homeless man, Christopher Tavai, ever spit in the first place. The department brass suspended the officer without pay for 1 day.

He should have had a tent instead of a framed hut. Obviously, they singled him out...

"Cuz they'll slam you down to the street top, black police showing out for the white cop..."

Just like with anything else, the only way cops know how to solve a problem is to resolve it by shooting it.

I don't understand the situation. What was the supposed crime being committed? Wearing headphones while riding a bike? The lard ass cop that put four in the suspects back should face serious charges.

You must obey the law.

Do you know how many lives are put at lives are put at risk each day with these bike riding ipod wearing hooligans?

Also notice, this police problem is just that... a police problem, not a racial problem. One of the cops involved name was Ruiz.

Did I see this correctly?..... The cop on the right accidentally shoots the cop on the left and then accidentally fires his weapon a second time, but never acknowledges it so the cop on the left thinks he's been shot by the perp?

I don't agree with the shooting but the guy was stopped bc he was a known gang member that they had dealt with numerous times and not bc of wearing headphones while riding a bike.

I can't understand what these two clowns were doing. If the cop that pumped three rounds in his back couldn't see his hands then I understand why he shot him. He thought the guy had a gun and had shot him once already..... Not realizing it was his idiot partner.
I'll have to watch on my computer instead of my phone to get a bigger view.

From what I understand, the guy did have a gun but didn't try to use it to shoot the officers. It was his idiot partner that shot him. The guy apparently was strung out on Meth and fighting the officers. I wish the video was longer to see the entire incident.

That's funny. So I guess we should just chalk it up to a gang killing. Because, that's exactly what the cops are, a gang.

Why did they pull him over? You just can't pull someone over for being a former gang member? You have to have a reason.

What was the reason?

A guy that grew up the street from me....... Grew up and got real heavy into drugs.... He raped a six month old baby and spent several years in jail for it..... Got out and robbed two subways and went back to jail... Got out again and robbed a guy that had given him a job when no one else would hire him... While he was out of jail every single excuse that the police could come up with to pull him over and check on him was used by the police.... If I read the story right then the guy wasn't a former gang member.... he was a current gang member that had a gun in his waistband...I'm sure the police kept the same close eye on him as they did the guy that lived near me.

Ran up from behind and knocked the woman down... obviously, she was talking back or walking away too fast or popping off at the mouth.

To me it looks like she's completely unaware that he exists. Not sure what the context is, tho.
