'27 TN RB David Georges

Still carries the ball like a loaf of bread.

He fumbled and luckily Baylor recovered it.

That’s his main flaw. The upright running style can be coached up, but the ball security is an issue waiting to happen.

All that said, he runs angry and has break away speed. Great game last night against one of the better defenses in High School football.

Kyren Williams does that in the NFL, at the 1 yard line, with a GW TD within arm’s reach.

The idea that ball security can’t be coached up is not correct.

Looks like Buckheads in lead at this point. Maybe the kid wants to go back up north?!?!

Thing we have to keep in mind is he is not the typical “in state” recruit. He is not from here. He just goes to school here.

Him/Faizon/Keys/big hulking OL/Rodney Garner= Natty

Don't think that the chumps at OSU don't know that too though. You cant land the #1 QB, #1WR, #1 WR CLASS (when they call themselves WRU these days) and 3 monster Olinemen without them noticing. They know that UT is gonna be a threat in 26 27 and 28 for sure. They will pay more than they want to just to KEEP us from getting him. Especially after their biggest rival Michigan jist did the same thing in the 26 class.

I think kids that go to Big10 schools are just pusses. Why compete against 6 ranked teams including at least 2 that are in the top 10 every season...when you can be a puss at a Big10 school and only play 2 ranked teams per year? Ranked teams have ranked defenses. SEC has the best athletes in the country by far. I think they just take the easy way out so than can pad their stats against the 12 teams that would have losing records in the SEC every year. Hopefully DGG isn't a coward like last years "best RB ever".

Go check out next years schedule for Oregon, OSU, and PSU. Guaranteed 10 win seasons and playoff berths for all 3...as long as they dont crap the bed against an unranked team. Its shameful.

Even if the narrative rn is that OSU holds a slight lead, I’d still put it at about 60/40 Vols just considering we should be able to get him to campus pretty much whenever, he’s got friends that are gonna be here, and we’re closing the gap on OSU, hell we might beat them on a neutral site if we played today, who knows.

If we don’t get him, I’m gonna get flak for this, but I think it raises some questions about Sims.

You were doing so well up until that last ridiculous statement.

Are you saying ball security can’t be coached?

“I’ll have questions about Sims if we lose a RB to OSU that’s not even from Tennessee.”

LOL 😂

If DGG was a true in-state kid I think that would be fair but he’s not.

If the kid wants to be closer to home and is enamored with Ohio State that’s not the fault of Sims.

Only way I’ll have questions is if we miss on Tyson Robinson and Asa Barnes as well.

Nope, but would seriously call into question the NIL contributions of those with this expectation.

If we don’t get what will be the #1 RB in the country then you’ll question Sims 😂

There are too many things that align for us with this one to finish runner up for the second cycle in a row with the class’s premier RB.

Barnes and/or Robinson would be great, but they’re not elite on the level of DGG imo, and also not a short drive down the street. Of course a class with 2/3 very good RBs would be an acceptable consolation for not getting the elite guy. But as I said, lots of things on our side here. Not saying fahr anybody, just saying if we don’t get him i believe it’s fair to ask whether Sims can recruit at the elite level we need him to. We are so damn close, we need to be our best in every possible aspect.

What if he just likes the program more that won a NC last year is one of the premier programs in cfb.

Maybe one of the more asinine comments to question Sims if we don’t land the best RB in the country.

So if we land two 4* RBs but miss on a 5* RB, Sims is not recruiting at a Elite Level?
