'27 TN RB David Georges

What if he just likes the program more that won a NC last year is one of the premier programs in cfb.

Maybe one of the more asinine comments to question Sims if we don’t land the best RB in the country.
I get it. Things are going well and entire staff is untouchable.

Lots of advantages to give Sims a head start. Like I already said, I’m kinda confident he can do it.

Would it also be unfair to ask why Lewis should be the most talented in that room on paper but is last in rotation? Can it all be attributed to youth? I’m sorry I know y’all don’t like these questions.

Yet you didn’t answer….what if the kid just likes the program that won a NC last year and has been good his entire life only having ONE season (excluding 2020 when they went 7-1) where they didn’t win at least 10 games lol.

Maybe Lewis just isn’t that good and/or develops at a slower rate than others?

That’s not always on coaches when a guy doesn’t click at this level. Not every player has “it” when in the bright lights.

To blame every kid who doesn’t work out on the position coach is stupid. According to this terrible logic, Nathan Leacock should’ve been a baller, right? If not it’s on the position coach? Yet he transferred 2x in the offseason, ended up on a terrible team and still has 1 reception for 0 yards.

Is that never on the player? Only the coaches?

Could end up being the case. It’s on Sims to make him like the elite program in his neighborhood where his friends are already at. The Championship allure up there might win out and that wouldn‘t all be on Sims. But it would leave me wondering if there was a position coach out there who could’ve sold it. You don’t have to question anyone.

It could be on Lewis completely. It’s just that Sims has only been here for 2 classes and Lewis is the only one we really have to judge on. Morris looks great from what little I’ve seen. Still don’t think it’s unfair to ask why Peyton can’t catch out of the backfield or pass protect.

Maybe PLew isn’t putting in the work on his own. Maybe he has focus issues. Maybe he gets nervous. Maybe he’ll keep working on things and turn out to be great.

You keep bouncing from recruiting to development. But considering Jerry Mack never coached Bishop, why wouldn’t Sims get credit for his development and success as a lower rated prospect?

Sounds like you have some questions. If any or some of those were the case, it’s unfair to question the guy who brought him in?

Cmon man.

Now this turns into I hate Sims. And I think he’s fine. Y’all are weather vanes.

Seems like you’re trying to discredit Sims if we lose out on one player which is extremely absurd.

Don't think that the chumps at OSU don't know that too though. You cant land the #1 QB, #1WR, #1 WR CLASS (when they call themselves WRU these days) and 3 monster Olinemen without them noticing. They know that UT is gonna be a threat in 26 27 and 28 for sure. They will pay more than they want to just to KEEP us from getting him. Especially after their biggest rival Michigan jist did the same thing in the 26 class.

I think kids that go to Big10 schools are just pusses. Why compete against 6 ranked teams including at least 2 that are in the top 10 every season...when you can be a puss at a Big10 school and only play 2 ranked teams per year? Ranked teams have ranked defenses. SEC has the best athletes in the country by far. I think they just take the easy way out so than can pad their stats against the 12 teams that would have losing records in the SEC every year. Hopefully DGG isn't a coward like last years "best RB ever".

Go check out next years schedule for Oregon, OSU, and PSU. Guaranteed 10 win seasons and playoff berths for all 3...as long as they dont crap the bed against an unranked team. Its shameful.
I agree with the soft schedules for big 3 schools but the nfl really doesn’t look at stats as the in all for drafting. Plus some kids may want to not tear up their Bodies by playing against rugged sec defenses multiple times a season. I can understand both sides of it.

This would make sense if these elite recruits final goal was to play college football.

It’s not.

Even then, B10 has won the last 2 NC.

Baylor sure rides him like teams did Henry. Is he on pace to have similar volume of carries as Bishop did in HS?
Bishop was carrying the ball 30-40 times a game, and sometimes more. I don’t think DGG is getting that kind of treatment, probably because he doesn't have to. Baylor has better surrounding talent.

Those inside the program tell me that, as of today, its OSU then UGA then Vols. Not sure what separates the top 3 but the ranking of these 3 is well known by the kids playing with him. Hopefully we make our way to first before he commits. He is not only the best RB Ive seen in person but dominates the game more than any positional player Ive seen in High school.

Who said Lewis is the most talented on paper? I dont believe that at all, just from what I see in the games. His burst is nowhere near Star Thomas, and it's not even a question that his strength doesn't compare to Bishop. He may be the fastest, straight line, but thats it.

I believe Morris is way more talented than Lewis, as well.

I‘m hoping after some on job training this year he breaks out next year if he’s still here.

But Sims recruited him. So if all you said is true then there’s at least some level of culpability there.

I didnt say a word about Sims. I was only commenting on you saying Lewis was the most talented in the RB room, which I completely disagree with.

That‘s not what I said. I said he should be on paper. Probably has a NIL deal commensurate with a 4 star signee.
Why should he be on paper? Because he "probably" has a better NIL deal than the others?

I will say, I've expected more out of Lewis, based on his speed and some things we've heard; but, on the field, he hasn't really impressed me much. I believe we should go 2 backs from here on out, with Morris (if healthy) being the 3rd back off the bench. Won't say Lewis can't come around...just so far, three other backs look better, imo.

I want to land Georges, too; but, in no way do I believe its an indictment on Sims if we don't. We led the SEC in rushing the last two years, and RB play so far this year has looked pretty good. Believe we went away from the run too much against UGA.
