To be fair. Ty’s supporting cast was nowhere near as good as Graham’s. Martin has a WR and RB that we have offered. Best player Ty played with signed UTMartin.Ty’s senior season was just shy of 3,000 yds and 41 TDs
Graham’s freshman season was just over 4,000 yds and 57 TDs
Everything coming out of Martin is saying he’ll be breaking all kinds of records (the ones he hasn’t already broken), and be better than his brother.
Does it really matter if he plays 3A when he's by far the best QB in Tennessee and only a sophomore? Ty played 3A and he's very likely to be a high first round draft pick in the next NFL draft. 1A Dresden HS had a really good QB (Dresser Winn) that Lyle should have signed. The kid made a few million in the Rams organization--certainly much better than Will McBride who was signed instead of Winn, who had the tools to be a star at UT.So a step above super weak
qb class is bad this yesr but this kid should not play in the nfl BUT with that said and what I see in the nfl qb wise he might. The qb position other than maybe 8 to 10 of them is horrible-3 yds. rushing for Bama, 19 QB pressures. Doubt Peyton in his prime would have fared better under those circumstances. If I were picking in the NFL draft, Simpson would be the first SEC QB on my list--no one else even close.
Jared Curtis is a better qb.Does it really matter if he plays 3A when he's by far the best QB in Tennessee and only a sophomore? hs stats dont define whos better, curtis has an all around better scouting profile but also,Curtis: 2313 yds. 27 TD 7 INT 59.6% comp. 7.86 yd/attempt
Simpson: 2091 yds. 24 TD 3 INT 75.6% comp 12.7 yd/attempt
O.K. using stats from MaxPreps, Simpson passed for more yards, almost 50% more yds. per attempt, half the INT. Only stat better for Curtis: rushing yds. And, I would assert Curtis played against weaker competition.hs stats dont define whos better, curtis has an all around better scouting profile but also,
curtis stats per maxpreps 2073 passing yards, 65% comp 14.7 yds/attempt 36 tds, 6 ints, 614 rushing yards 9.7 average 11 tds 1 rec 8 yards 1 td
simpson stats per max preps 2091 yds, 75% comp 16.9 yd/attempt 3 ints 114 rushings yards 7.6 average 1 td

yards per attempts is 14.7 to 16.9 not particularly close to 50% Curtis scored alot more tds 48 to 25 combined. curtis passing yards and yrds per attempt are lower because he runs the ball a lot more. The run game is important, its part of being a qb. Graham is essentially one dimensional and undersized his best aspect in his scouting report is that he can get kinda creative in the pocket. In the sec I would expect it to look a little worse then ty who has a larger frame and more length/speed, we just saw him struggle to the tune of 6 sacks against the worst pass rush (stastically) in the sec. Curtis scouting report highlights is arm, size creativity in and outside of the pocket, frequently finds throwing lanes in the face of pressure goes off script alot and spent most of his youth playing running back. in direct response to weaker competition although this is developmental hs and weve seen several low A players have high success, "Might not have faced the highest level of competition during prep career, but was the X factor multiple times on bigger stages and heads to college with over 45 starts under his belt" hes a 5 star and number 1 on the compsite because his skill set transitions really well to high level play and especially into power spread types like uga and vandy, he would actually project well into almost every offense if not every offense in fbs, Graham is gonna need a growth spurt first, or hes not gonna be in the sec, and hes going to have to develop alot more tools to get past 3 star statusO.K. using stats from MaxPreps, Simpson passed for more yards, almost 50% more yds. per attempt, half the INT. Only stat better for Curtis: rushing yds. And, I would assert Curtis played against weaker competition.
