'28 TN QB Graham Simpson

I know it's early and I'm not a big rankings guy, but he's currently a 3* and the #10 QB in his class. I think that being under 6' may be hurting his projection as a college QB. There's a reason UT has held off on offering.

Point is, I think we're getting ahead of ourselevs calling him the best QB the state has produced. This state has recently produced Ty, GMac, Jared Curtis, Marcel Reed, and others.

he's a '28.

“Ty’s story is different than mine,” Simpson said. “It’s a new day and age in college football. It’s something that not a lot of kids get to go through in high school. Obviously, Ty going to Alabama and Tennessee being rivals, people are going to have their conspiracy theories and whatever. But this is my story. This is my process. I went on all the trips, all the visits, everything. You look at it today, it’s night and day different. Everybody’s got a hat in the ring. Everybody can pitch everything. It’s not saying that Alabama is the number one contender, and I’m committing there on the spot. Every university that’s offered me is great. Everybody with a hat in the ring. But I’m going to go through my own recruiting process. I’m not just going to drop everything and say I’m going to Alabama because Ty went there. It’s a business. You’re not just going somewhere to live and go to school. You’re going to live out your dream, play football, and hopefully get to the NFL and make money. When you look back at Ty’s situation with Coach Saban at Alabama, if Coach Saban was there, it might have been different, but you never know with how football is today. I’m going to go through my process, go through all the schools I want to visit, one of them being Tennessee, and hopefully find the place that’s right for me, the place that God’s leading me to. Just two more years left, and hopefully I’ll find the right fit.”

Seems like a great kid.

I think height has been a little overrated in QB evaluation and projection. Some absolutely ball players have been <6', many of whom won Heismans in large part because shorter QBs are more elusive.

That said, hard to think Graham won't end up 6'2" or taller.

Smart kid. Probably doesn't help Alabama that Ty got one year and then was basically pushed out.

The height he ends up depends on when he last had a growth spurt but I agree with you, though it's nice to have, height is not the ultimate determination of success at QB.

Yes, typically the last growth spurt determines the final height...

(Just messing with you)

….why does he sound like a Black NFL QB???
🤣

“my this. My that! It’s a business. I want to visit. MY STORY” Hahahahaha

That’s cool that Heupel has seemed to repair that relationship. Bama did Ty dirty…

I don’t know who is “leading” Alabama truly at this point but no way do you let Keelan Russell dictate the future of your program. Not this day and age with the Transfer Portal.

Is Russell the QB in waiting?

Wait!! Isn't Knox Kiffin a 2028 recruit?😆
Josh Heupel’s son will be entering college in 2029. Peyton’s son should be in the 2030 class. I wonder if either Kiffin or Heupel will still be working in the SEC when that comes around.
