You got me. This thread is the height of intellectual debate and I should treat it as such. Please take me under your wing and teach the correct way to address these titans of philosophy.
If he has NFL aspirations, he's going to go to the school that gives him the best chance of making to the NFL.
Georgia is in the CFB playoff in Smart's second year, and Sam Pittman's coaching of the OLine has a lot to do with that success.
That's just the reality of where UT is right now.
Your argument being what, exactly? That youve determined precisely where Tennessee football is to fall on ones heiraechy of interests/passions (despite you posting a heavy amount on this forum, implying a strong degree of passion in your own right) and the only acceptable way in which to opine about said interests/passions?
Youre a joke, dude; perhaps youd fare better on the IASIP subreddit.

A very talented roster full of upperclassmen also played a big role in Smart's success. He just picked up where Richt left off. This is why I don't think we should give Pruitt as much slack as we gave Jones. Pruitt is walking into a much different situation (with a lot more talent) than Jones. I'm not saying playoffs by year 2, but I think we should be in the thick of things for the SEC East.
Heres how you do it: people can be pissed. They shouldnt wish him bodily harm. If they dont do that, no need for chastisement. The end.
If I understand you correctly, I disagree. The privilege of posting on a privately owned message board allows me to disagree (chastise may not be the right word) with anyone, regardless of their opinion, so long as I do so within the bounds of the established rules.
Trey Smith came to Tennessee. You think he won't be an NFL player because he came here?
The NFL excuse is weak. If you're good enough, you're going to the league no matter what school you end up at.
This decision just exposed Cade Mays as a front runner.
Cade,
All the sweat dropped on Tennessee soil, the coaches who taught you, the talk that went on about your success, how proud the town and state was to have you on our side.
All I can say is that you will learn soon that there are those who build bridges and those drive on the ones already built by someone else. Remember where you came from, The Volunteer State and we will do just fine.
what. a. traitor.
pops must be proud.
btw... i knew he wasnt signing with UT, but to see him go to a rival is just sickening. ZERO respect for how this works.
It wasn't a quick quip. He followed it up with "wishing him a Ryan Shazier type injury", that thankfully was removed. Wishing injuries on an 18 year old kid for his school choice is the pinnacle of classlessness.Yes, you are soft if youre going to chastise a felllow (quotations because, again, Im implying that youre not a true fan; deal with it!) Tennessee fan over a quick quip on a message board regarding ACL injuries.
