We played 4-2-5 nickel 80%+ of the snaps during the Pruitt tenure went 3-4 against some 12 personnel teams and against certain personnel groupings in the red zone. Nickel is the new base defense u have to have 5 guys that can cover against modern offenses.
No.Why not? A recruit this important? Um Nolen is just as important as a really good QB. He could be a program changing recruit.
No.
The game is centered around QB more now than ever.
And regardless the Head Coach shouldn't be calling a recruit every day. That's his staffs job. He needs competent staff surrounding him to handle that.
I never said he shouldn't talk to him.you’re a little off base here. The HC has an obligation to reach out daily or what not especially if it is a stud blue chip recruit like Nolen. Asst/ position coaches do too but for a potential 5* top 15 kid you likely will miss out without HC involvement because Saban, Jimbo, Day, Kirby, Bey Bey, Dabo will all be reaching out 1st hand
And I’m telling you that you’re wrong. This is the business that I’m in and I know HC dialogue with elite guys daily.
