Back in 2015 we didn’t know if Preston Williams was going to get in until mid-late July. I feel much more confident in Lawless’s ability to get what he needs to get done than i did about PWill, but it still happened. This is a bummer, but let’s not get carried away yet. We don’t know any details, and it could be something easy. So let’s just wait and see.

Is it possible that the staff isn't as sold on him? Maybe a numbers issue after all of the grad transfers? Lawless looked like he put on a lot of bad weight when he visited in the winter. Pure speculation, btw.

Already signed an LOI which the coaches took back in February. And God knows Pruitt wants and needs a big-bodied 4star Dlineman. Can’t see how this hold up is from Pruitt’s end, makes no sense.

Dang thought he was the big dude on campus move in video. Guess it was that Ol guy we got.

Seems weird this comes up without being hinted at. Must have had a rough semester that threw it iff

If you want to be a football player how do you not do everything in your power to get the grades? I will never understand it. Its a means to an end.

I think that it is because these guys are so used to people moving the line for them, that they just assume somebody will at the next level.

If he can graduate from a private college prep school in TN, he'll have the core courses to meet UT acceptance requirements. If his GPA was borderline, UT should have known at the start of his final semester so they could see where he needed to be on the NCAA sliding scale.

Any information about this outside of what is already being reported?

Is it his ACT score or? Is it a coaching staff issue?

Just wondering if there is any clarification because Lawless stated he didn't even know the reasoning. Thank you to anyone who has extra info.

It's a grade issue. The kid knows the reason but just doesn't want to talk about it. If you'll remember during his recruitment he was a very quiet kid who didn't like to say much. Also, there were rumors his grades would be close back around signing day as well. Hate to lose him, we could have used the depth for sure.
