If you major in football, then you have to take the core classes of "Speech/Interviewing," "Personal Finance," "English/Intro to Journalism," "Nutrition," and "Psychology."

That would teach them more about the real world than what they have to pass now. JMO.

I don't know why folks aren't more excited about Gooden. After all the problems he has had academically he is going to get his chance. As a football talent he is a HUGE GET, he has all the tools to a great one. If he get's his act together in the classroom this would be a monster pickup. Pruitt will make or break him. GBO!!!!!!

I'll be excited when get sets foot in a Tennessee classroom. I'll be skeptical until then.

I agree on that, but if he has any kind of support system he should fully well understand it's now or never. His talent is without question that was my point. If he can buckle down and get it done this is a huge pickup. GBO!!!!!

Gooden is a blue chip football player. Serious talent. Serious potential. If we can get this man on the field we'll be the better for it. We need it badly.

This has been mentioned, but wondering if he’s Gerald Williams 2.0. I feel like that dude was 31 by the time he was eligible, and 40 when he left UT.

Yep. He's a position of real need and I'd just like to sign a full class....well....full for our numbers situation.
