TN Commit David Oku

I think we all may have underestimated what losing Drayton did to our chances with him.
I think we forget that Trooper has spent the last year close to him and the fact that Malzahn gets a lot of press in Oku's hometown.

If he was so adamant about not playing in a spread offense, he wouldn't have committed to Fulmer, cause Clawson ran the spread, too.

It was a form of spread that we ran last year. Well tried to run at the start of the season. Most people think spread and think option running QB and trick plays not really the case.

There may have been some spread formations every now and then but we regularly had a guy under center and used a FB, things that spread teams rarely do.

That was later in the season. When we learned we couldn't scratch our tail without a map on offense. We were in a lot of shotgun formations at the start of the season.

That may have been more because we were losing and couldn't protect Crompton. Besides the G-Gun, we rarely ever ran the ball out of a shotgun formation. Maybe if the offense worked at all we would've seen more spread stuff but for the most part it looked similar to how it's always been under Fulmer.

Yeah I'm not too optimistic about him coming but at least he hasn't pulled an Aubry Phillips yet and said he'll sign somewhere else. I hope we can get Eddie Lacy if Oku goes elsewhere.
