TN Commit David Oku

PHP:
The nation's No. 1 all-purpose back said things have gone from bad to worse with his decision. Despite being committed to Tennessee, the 5-foot-10, 186-pounder took official visits to Syracuse and Auburn recently.

"Everyone is trying to get me to pick already, but I'm not ready," Oku said. "All these coaches are making it worse by calling and trying to talk when I don't want to. This is a lot of pressure to put on one kid, and it doesn't help that I've got some family stuff going on, too."

It's gotten to the point that Oku said he wants the calls to stop.

"I'm not taking any calls," he said. "I just want the coaches to give me some space. Too much is going on for me right now."

Oku has said all along that he considers himself a Tennessee commitment, but he's backing away from that also.

"I'm not committed to anyone anymore," he said.

"I don't have any plans to sign on Wednesday. I don't know when a decision will be made. I just need some space and some time to think and sort things out. Hopefully the coaches will respect that and understand how difficult this has become for me."

Oku just said he wasn't committed to anyone. He was going to wait. He wants all the calls to stop. He is seems really fed up with the whole process from the article on rivals. He said he was going to take some time and them think about it. He also mentioned some family situation going on.

A family situation is his fault? All these kids are under the most pressure they've ever been in....give them a break. Sure, We want Oku. Bottom Line. But trashing a kid is sick and classless.

if he cant handle this pressure how will he hold up being the feature back handling all the expectations as the tenn rb. the recruiting process is supposed to be a fun exciting time sounds like he has head problems bring on lacy and hardy.

AMEN...

Hope it's not to serious..

It's your life David, do what you need to do...

Hardy is USM and Lacy will or will not qualify? Still think we get this Kid. I will bet that most of the pressure was put on him this weekend at Auburn by TT. Add to the fact that Drayton did not hold any punches.

I think he was referring to the fact that Oku took these last minute visits to other schools. Of course those schools are going to pressure him to commit, which is adding to his stress. I'm sure the family situation is not helping matters.

Piss on Oku. I'm tired of his drama. I would love to have him, but he's full of himself. We have Creer and Poole, so we are okay without him. Sign a kid that truly wants to play for UT.
