The greatest part of the new staff is their ability to organize a recruiting board and who they want, even if it's the 7th best on the board. 7th best on the board now would be like 2nd or maybe 3rd best under the old staff.

If he goes he goes although, no one in their right mind would choose Syracuse over UT. I think he stays with UT though IMO, all he needs is a visit from Kiffin.

I honestly think now he thinks that he will have bigger competition that he once thought he would. Why not go to Syracuse where you can start as a freshman and play as much as you want to because everyone else sucks.

If he's worried about the competition, then I don't want him. Kiffin will play the best players.

If he's expecting immediate PT handed to him at Syracuse then he should take it. He's just not going to get that playing time handed to him here at UT. You have to earn it like everyone else.

I think he is a little worried that the staff is recruiting other backs and he will have to compete for playing time. Kiff needs to show him so love before NSD and he is ours. Maybe have the hostess who showed him around campus give him a call. I hear he definitely liked her.

I lived close to Syracuse for nearly a year back in '93/'94. Most of the people that I met who really kept up with college football where ND fans. I can promise you one thing,college football in Upstate NY is NOTHING like it is in the south.

Oh yeah,it is probably the ugliest campus I've ever been on,and that's including the University of Illinois.

Why would someone like Oku go to a team that has a #94 recruiting score? If he doesn't sign with UT he has to have been bought.

Maybe Oku wants to be a big fish in the medium sized Big East pond. He will definitely be the featured back there. I hope the kid comes here. With him in the backfield, we would have a relentless running attack. If he goes, I'll be sad but the Big Orange Machine will keep rolling and he sure as...dare I say "heck", will be missing out on everything that it means to be Tennessee! Guess we'll have to wait and see.:popcorn:

I too would hate to see the kid go because he seems to have a lot of upside, but this staff and tennessee will move on. Go Big Orange!

He's been solid to UT for SOOOOO long. This just doesn't make sense. I believe it's just the media talking. With some contact from UT, and maybe an in-home, he'll be locked up for sure. He knows better than to the to Syracuse. I mean, come on! The day that we start losing recruits to Syracuse is a terrible day. If this does turn out to be true, Stan Drayton will be the most hated man in the state of Tennessee. He would be responsible for us losing Giles and Oku.

Losing a recruit to Syracuse wouldn't be all that terrible...20 years ago.

I hope Oku comes to his senses and comes to UT. But if he is afraid of a little competition, I don't get the feeling this will be the right place for him anyway.

This is stupid. I get so tired of these freakouts. It was 0 degrees in Syracuse this weekend. There's no way Oku ends up there. I would be more concerned about Auburn next week and I'm not even concerned about that. You guys are ridiculous.
