TN a likely win for SC

Sc with or without a win over Tennessee will once again fall well short of any 9 win expectations. 7 sounds about right again for the chickens.

You know what? I think the Vols will surprise a lot of people this year. We may not win every game, but I predict we will see the team come together as the year goes on.

I predict even more moral victories this year.

I expect even that they may surprise coming out of the gate. I am looking forward to the Vol walk before the UT Martin game, especially since it won't be so hot!

if theese kids can get back on track after the latest fiasco, we can suprise someone like fl or lsu this year and we may loose to sc jr and ky thats kinda the direction im leaning.

They also believe each upcoming season is their year to win the SEC. Chicken fans are comical.

They win the summertime SEC championship every year. I look forward to hearing Coots discuss the upcoming football season every summer. It is comical.

When I get depressed about the Vols program being down, I always remind myself, "At least we're not USCjr...where over the hill coaches go to die."

They were silly if UT played a half decent game either time. UT had to come up with inventive ways to lose both games. Didn't we collect four first half interceptions in the first game? Daniel Lincoln and the great Chavis decided to let a third string QB play a scrimmage and give UCLA the win in the second half and OT. In the game last year Crompton returned the interception favor and then Kiffin made a questionable goal line decision and we lost. UCLA still sucks.

I hope this was a parody of the typical Gamecock fan, b/c it sounds like the BS I hear from USC fans everytime we win.

Last year I was reminded how they were the better team but they kindly helped us out by coughing up some easy points in the first half.

UCLA beat us two years in a row....we were outplayed. We deserved to lose both of those games. To win a game you have to actually play a decent game of football.

A loss to Tennessee always starts SC on a late season swoon. I don't see this year as being any different. SC is looking at another 7-5 or 6-6 season, like us.

I understand the game being a toss up rather than a tn win, since tn is down. But to put it down as a probable cock win shows thier inflated image of thier program.

If it's ever going to happen for Spurrier in Columbia, this is the year. He's got the experienced returning QB. He gets UGA early; they should be nothing special, and will be starting a new QB. UT will be as bad as is possible. UF will have more talent, but they'll have a new QB; unfortunately for Spurrier that game isn't until the end of the season and it's in Gainesville. But this is as clear a path to Atlanta as Spurrier is ever going to get at USC. If he beats Georgia early, then he should be right in it through November.

If I were a Cock I would be cautiously putting Tennessee into the "likely win" category too. We are in absolute disarray until we start proving otherwise.

For a team that has played TN 17 years in a row and only managed three wins during that time, I think calling TN a likely win is too much.

Anyone think this could be CSS last season if they can't get it done?

He'll retire. He's 65 years old. He knows this is the best chance he'll ever have. If he doesn't get it done this year, he's knows he'll never be able to. He's a realist. He knows when he can't do it anymore. Look at Washington.

No matter how bad we are supposed to be or how good they are supposed to be, I will never think that USCe is going to beat us! Nor would I think that for Kensucky or Vandy, we own all those schools! I can't wait to get back to being in the same sentence as Fl and Bammer where we belong and the media stops trying to make us SEC bottom feeders!

It is hard to see the shamecock papers have the nerve to put TN in the probable win category. TN has only lost to SC 3 times since 1992!

But according to this SC sports writer the TN game is in the probable win category, rather than a toss up game as I would consider it.

"Probable wins: Southern Miss (Sept. 2), at Kentucky (Oct. 16), at Vanderbilt (Oct. 23), Tennessee (Oct. 30)."

Does TN really belong in that category with those other teams?

Have you been living under a rock? I have SC down as a loss for us. I think UT will be lucky to win 5 games this year.

Wasn't last year supposed to be their year? Or wait, wasn't it the year before? No, it was the year before that.
