It is hard to see the shamecock papers have the nerve to put TN in the probable win category. TN has only lost to SC 3 times since 1992!

But according to this SC sports writer the TN game is in the probable win category, rather than a toss up game as I would consider it.

"Probable wins: Southern Miss (Sept. 2), at Kentucky (Oct. 16), at Vanderbilt (Oct. 23), Tennessee (Oct. 30)."

Does TN really belong in that category with those other teams?

Well since the game is at USC, I could see how they would consider it a win. But that plays into our hands. IMO we should WANT teams to count us out. CDD will have to play the underdog card alot this season.

Absolutely not. We spanked them last year.

I would have to agree with you on that. If you consider how miserable the QB situation has been at SC over the past several years (which still surprises me with Spurrier at the helm), and combine that with our lack of offense but still solid defense, I would throw it into the toss-up category as well. There's just a lot of people writing us off now because of CDD's previous head coaching record, our lack of (proven) offensive talent, team youth, etc. I think this team has one thing that a lot of others don't that will give us an edge in many games, and that's HEART. These guys have been thru too much already, and if CDD is pushing as much effort and hard work as he preaches and as some players have talked about (N. Reviez, namely), it's obvious we will have a very tough year, but I don't think you're going to see a team that's just going to roll over.

They also believe each upcoming season is their year to win the SEC. Chicken fans are comical.

So are they also predicting USCjr to go 9-3 this year? Not a chance that'll happen.

The one that I really found funny was no sure losses even though they play Bama and @Florida.

It just blows my mind that you have USCjr considering TN as an easy win in the same breath with Vandy and UK.

Vols will win or coaches will be replaced.

:good!:

True 72. Every year TN looses to the Cocks a coach has been sacrificed to cleanse the program of the bad vibes caused by such a horrible loss.

(92' Majors fired before next game, 2005 Randy Sanders fired before next game, 2008 Fulmer fired on monday following the game).

CDD better beat the Cocks.

A coach has been fired every time TN has lost to SC. It is a fact of life.

That would be awesome then. Y'all get to go through another coaching search! How fun. What would that be now, 3 in consecutive years or 4, because honestly, I'm starting to lose count.

Some of y'all need to get a clue.

So are they also predicting USCjr to go 9-3 this year? Not a chance that'll happen.

Looking at their schedule, I see 7-5 for them if they can upset Georgia or Arkansas at home. Next to impossible to see 9 wins out of this:

Southern Miss
Georgia
Furman
@Auburn
Alabama
@Kentucky
@Vanderbilt
Tennessee
Arkansas
@Florida
Troy
@Clemson

At home. Huge difference.

Are you saying that us playing at USCjr is going to be an exercise in futility? How dare you!!!! You should turn your fan card in immediately. You aren't a real fan :crazy::crazy:

I could see why Tn could definitely be in the probable win for the gamecocks this year looking at the TN situation going into the season. With that said early play for both teams could change the optism for that game for both teams. I do believe the SC quarterback play will be better and they do have some excellent receivers and RBs

If it was a 7-10 pt win i'd say maybe.. But it was 18.. I dont see USCe's homefield advantage being that great.

We lost to UGA by 12 in '08 and beat them by 26 in '09. Home field makes a difference. Sometimes all the difference. Our last trip to Columbia certainly didn't end well.

I'm reminded of how silly we thought UCLA people were, thinking they had a chance to stay within 3 scores of UT, both times...

I sure hope they don't lose to powerhouses like Furman and Troy.

A team 2 years removed from a loss to Wyoming has little room to complain about being on a probable win list for South Carolina when they have home field.
