Thoughts on the game

1. Craig james sucks worse than anyone I have ever had to listen to besides dick vitale.

2. Justin Hunter is physically gifted but he is so skinny and does not have a heart when it comes to going to get the ball against a much smaller defender.

3. Matt simms is not the answer. He is not eli manning, he is cooper manning. The kid was cut by louisville. He cannot run and he is not a great passer. Bray will make mistakes so let's have them happen in a year when we are not headed to a great season regardless.

4. Our defense played well. Art evans had a horrid play but overall we tackled well and played well enough to win until well after the offense had made it clear that they were going to lose the game.

5. This will not be the only time we play Oregon. I want to beat UF more and Alabama more, but I hate phil knight and oregon now in a way I could not have imagined.

6. Our offensive line is going to be very very good. It is so young and it has no depth but man it started strong.

7. If oregon plays alabama in the national championship they will get humiliated. We are just not that good. We look a lot worse than south carolina.
8. I hope the recruits saw what could be and decide to help us get there. With help from 2 good classes, TN can get back to being a top 10 program.

My thoughts

1) Ever since your idol has taken the helm as AD, our entire athletics program has gone down the sewer. But hey, at least we got bricks around Gate 21 at Neyland now.

Art Evans should never be allowed on a football field again.

Our offensive line will be good once they actually get more playing time. If we're lucky they'll pull it together in time for the Ole Miss game and we might string some wins together to end the year on a positive note.

But who cares that our football program sucks and that our basketball program has lost all credibility. The athletic department is in the black, and were getting a statue of Coach Neyland. THAT is how you run an SEC school!

Simms has looked like a deer in headlights.

Poole is the only reason UT has had any offense.

OL looks promising but still too inconsistent

No D line is gonna kill us (hughes looked good at times)

Our Offense is one dimensional right now

Matt simms is supposed to be all lineage. He sucks. He always sucked. He has never been good and will not be good.


Justin hunter did the same lame crap against ut martin he did in this game. He needs to add 20 pounds of muscle, but it would help if he added 2 balls.

My thoughts... Our guys may have their legal troubles... but none of them involve choking and slamming their girlfriends to the ground. A 1 game suspension for LaMichael James is a joke. Like our tackling on his 72 yard run.

Matt Sims cost us the game with the pick returned for a towndown
Plus the defense trying to knock someone over instead of wrapping them up
I hope Dooley rips into their A__ tonight tomorrow and all week

Agree about Simms, but it's too soon for Bray to carry the offense.

Defense played much better than the score indicates, but our tackling was... err... spotty -- especially in the second half.

Don't count Oregon out against Moo University. They are a very good football team, but I can see them pulling a Clemson.

The only thing that really irked me was the punt return. Other than that, we made the mistakes I would expect from this team. The game was over after the INT return, and it showed in the response of our youngsters the following possession on offense.

Growing pains...

My thoughts are I wish The lightning would have never stopped and they called the game a final score and we would have won.
