we are way worse than 08. we just didn't have a qb but our team was solid al around. in 05 we had a national champinship d and no qb. this yr we are crap all around. we just didn't want to admit it. and dd did his best to get the troops fired up.

It is surprising you guys have not notice this about hunter..

He is 6'5 and he can jump vertically and horizontally better than any defender he will ever be around. He had a nice catch that made me excited this game and then he had a ball that he did not get because he was cowed by hand checking from a tiny db.

Hunter will move past this. I am a fan of his but the bottom line is that when a d coord looks at his film he knows that a competent db can stop him with physical play. By next year that should not be true.

#3, totaly agree. He has no presence, can't find a passing lane and his throwing motion takes to looooong.

#4, you have got to be kidding me! We have missed so many tackles I feel like John Chavis is back on the sidelines. I was hoping for a return to fundamentals but we still do not know how to wrap a tackle.

#5, we may play them close but we will lose to FLA, ALA, LSU, USCjr and probably GA. I think 6-6 is the best we will do this year.

#8, for all the open runs we had tonight we could not take it to the house. We don't have the top end speed to run away from defenders. We will have to develop a more consistent passing game to allow T.P. & D.O. to keep making those 10-20 yd runs. We need more speed on both sides of the ball.

i agree it really wasn't worth watching. i think we are going to be down for along while. simms blows why not just play bray we are going to lose anyway.

well i have to say i had hoped they would pull off a win, but in reality with all the rookies i knew we didnt have a chance but we have alot of work to do and we can bring it together, we have some great players and i dont think mat simms is as bad as some might think. our coach has experience under some great coaches like nick sabian and others so he will get the team on track.

We need a qb! And I can't believe that we haven't found one in the last 5 recruiting classes, besides bray, the whole secondary looks like they are trying to make a big hit highlight reel instead of wrapping people up! Special teams is still terrible! To many fans on volnation hating on the team and coaches...I'm as pissed of at the loss as the rest of you guys, but come on.. What do you expect with the talent that we got?

...it felt like the days of old, when we used to dominate. What a rush it was for a short while tonight. I wish I could bottle the feeling I had in the first quarter...*sigh*

Either back the team you have or shut the F*** up! These are kids, don't forget that. Quit bashing them and move on. The play went downhill after that "bogus" call on our defensive back for leading with his head when he was only going for the ball. The same ones of you that are bashing these kids tonight will be riding the damn bandwagon in about 2 or 3 years when they mature and become contenders. Again, be a real "Vol" fan or shut up..........Commish

This cant happen soon enough. The next few games are brutal (except maybe UAB)
